Can they keep Houston from scoring 3 more points? If so tomlin snaps the streak of 21+ pt deficits in playoff games going back to 2016. He might get a raise for that

Not even close.

No. The Chargers pass defense is slightly better, not vastly better. The Chargers gave up less passing yards per game, fewer passing TDs, and opposing QBs had a worse passer rating. Both had the same amount of INTs. The Texans gave up a lower completion percentage and had more sacks. But neither were significantly better than the other in any of these categories. In fact, most were close by a razor thin margin.

I can't believe people are afraid of the Texans, you're getting a turnover prone quarterback at home in a playoff game you aren't going to play the Jets with a trip to the AFCCG on the line.

The defense is very good but we see these elite defenses get beat by good quarterbacks play 90% of the time for 20 years.
Know who else has an elite defense, the Chargers.

Hahaha Rodgers !!! What a *****

So let's assume we play the Texans. There is no denying that their pass rush is ferocious and they often do it with just 4 guys. That is why they can design some different looks at the back end. In order for our o-line to not get overwhelmed, we need an extra blocker and go with the short passing game. A game like this is when we need Tonga back. He can play the role of the fullback !!
I hope he is back. Pity that Hollins will be out another game at minimum. Haven't heard about him, if the Pats make it to the AFCC will Hollins be back ??
I dont think the short passing game works against them. You have to layer the ball in the soft spots downfield.

They play 8 men in the box with the safeties at the line of scrimmage.

This is the exact defense we tried to use last year but our coaches were inept.

Everybody up, CBs by themselves on an island. Any short pass is going to have a safety, CB and LB flying up to make the tackle. Extreme likelihood of fumbles, tips and interceptions.

I just think you need to attack them downfield.

Roll outs, bootlegs, and most of all, step up INTO the pocket.

Game over

It’s not better at all. In any way. It’s not even in the same universe.

People are being prisoners of the moment. They see the Steelers being powerless and think this Texans defense is the 1985 Bears.

The Raiders scored 21 points vs them three weeks ago, the Colts scored 30 with their fifth QB last week.
