Good to see Patriot fans throwing Belichick under the bus. Makes me so proud.

Why wouldn't you want a guy as a 3rd string QB who is still developing yet already ranks higher than a number of freaking starting QBs in the NFL ?

That one is just mind boggling.

Because I don’t want a 3rd string quarterback on the roster period, especially when my 2nd string quarterback is younger and has been the NFL less time than my “developmental” 3rd string :der::der::loco::loco::loco:

Take a look at the 64 players on the current roster that are younger than your suggestion for “developmental” quarterback; now that’s mind :der::der::der::loco::loco:

Being objective =/= throwing under the bus

Adalius and Starks were good pickups?

So pointing out that Belichick sometimes makes roster moves that don't ultimately improve the team = throwing him under the bus.

you forgot to add "and was signed by one of the greatest football minds in the NFL".

I don’t disagree; I think the signing was a great decision, I like the concept of having a running quarterback in camp that gives the offense more opportunity to work on play outside of the pocket, and most importantly gives the defense something different to defend against. I don’t personally think he belongs on the 53, I’d like to see him on some type reserve list and they can revisit his progress in next year’s camp. I cannot buy into this Tebow being a good quarterback right now nonsense though, there is nothing to support it.

So was Albert Haynesworth, so was Ochocinco, etc... etc....

Just becuase Belichick brings a player in it does not mean he is always right and there are many instances where he has flat out been completely wrong. That is in no way saying he isn't great at his job because he clearly is, it simply he means he is not always right, and sometimes he goes against all conventional wisdom or clear signs otherwise, and this is one of those instances. Anyone who has watched Tebow play QB for any length of time knows full well he cannot throw accurately, and that being the case cannot play QB for this team. His supporters can hope and pray otherwise but that is simply =e reality, and we saw it on display agaoin last week and will almost certainly see it again tonight.

Honestly it isn’t a bad roster move right now; he is a 3rd arm which we had to have for training camp, and he gives us something different than Brady or Mallett do, and Kafka would of. If he makes the final 53 I’d be shocked and I would have to question the decision as a fan, given how much talent we have in camp, and positions we have questions surrounding.

It's too bad an IR'ed player can't practice. That would be a great idea having him there and not exposed to other teams like he would be just being on the practice roster.

I agree with everything you've just said, except maybe it's hindering the bottom of the depth chart players when they have to play in a different system with Tebow. If they end up rising to play with Brady or Mallett, they could be lost.

And you call yourself a Patriots fan. Disgusting.

thats right, I'm a fan of making the patriots better, Not tying an anchor around the waist of the team to slow it down.

Tebow needs his OWN offensive scheme. That means a whole set of plays

The means we have 3 rookie receivers, and a rookie tight end learning the real offense as well as a "just in case" offense. The real offense is hard enough, so you toss in a bunch of bull**** that most likely will never see the light of day outside of the preseason?

No. **** that.

You call yourself a patriot fan? You're shouting for the patriots to keep BARELY competent college level read option QB that wouldn't even get offers in the CFL on the pro nfl team just because.

Which one of the 53 expected players are you cutting to make room for Tebow?

Non of you tebow zealots have answered that VERY simple question. Who do you cut to make room for someone who isnt going to play.

If you consider that throwing him under the bus, then there's really no dialogue left to have here. You're delusional.

In this situation - yup pretty much. The 5 SBs Belichick has led us too to my mind earns him the benefit of the doubt, an honour none of you seem to want to give him.

People are letting their dislike for Tebow colour their thinking. No consideration for BBs abilities in this thread and the NYJ have suddenly transformed into a role model on how to assess a QB's ability in this thread and this thread alone.

Reading through this thread, when it comes to assessing QB talent, it's NYJ good, Bill Belichick bad. The Tebow effect I suppose.

Disagree completely, imo Belichick should have kept Kafka and allowed him to develop instead of trying to reclaim a QB who cannot throw.

So if Belichick cuts Tebow he will be throwing himself under the bus?

That's a million miles from what I said but you go girl.

Not necessarily agreeing that this is a better football team with Tebow =/= "dislike for Tebow"

First post in the past week that's made me laugh out loud. Hilarious.

I've answered it plenty of times. How about Jake Bequette, he of the zero tackles? How about Nate Ebner, a decent special-teamer but that's about it. How about Brandon Bolden, a replacement level RB? How about Daniel Fells, an average but not great in any area TE?

but why Dimi?...why did you do this to me?

I feel like Father Karras's mother....this thread needs an exorcist
