A shooting in FLA and murder with Hernandezs finger prints all over it and you think that the Pats wont cut this thugturd?
Hernandez will never play in a Pats uniform again and will be gone as soon as possible. The Patriots do not want the baggage that goes along with Hernandez now. How do you think Kraft likes whats going on?
BTW, the Pats have known about the FLA shooting for months.
Frankly unless he's guilty I hope he's on the field.
I don't understand why people care about the character of players. As long as they're not convicted of anything and can help the team I'm a supporter.
After the Lewis saga I don't think there's any room in this league for anything but pragmatism.
Please note: I'm not trying to ask this question in either an accusatory way or an exculpatory way.
I'm just trying to understand something: if apparently, as various Twitter comments, ESPN, PFT, etc., there were numerous warning signs that Hernandez was a potential problem child in the making, why did the Pats extend him this past fall?
They certainly didn't need to do it: they could have said "Let's wait until next offseason" (if Hernandez complained why GRONK got an extension and he didn't, they could point to both the stats and the fact that only one of the two has tested positive for drugs).
So why did they feel it was in their best interest to do it back then?
Go Jet!!! Best offseason for you ever.
And you spin on the FL shooting is cute. A convicted felon and liar sues Hernandez for shooting him and refuses to seek justice in the criminal courts and rather seek a big payday and it is Hernandez is definitely guilty. Yet, the FL police decided to cover the whole thing up and not seek prosecution.
And the Pats knew nothing about this until probably we did. The guy said up until about a week ago that he was shot by two guys he did not know. Hernandez was never linked to this shooting. The Pats never knew it existed.
Frankly unless he's guilty I hope he's on the field.

Get a clue.
Bradley refused to say who shot him and press charges because his buddy was Hernandez. Bradley tried to cover for Hernandez saying the gun went off accidentally. The police do not seek charges in these cases. Florida lawsuit alleges Patriots' Hernandez shot friend in face - U.S. News
I read that they have the round that hit Bradley as well and its linked to a pistol Hernandez owns. Spin your way out of that one you homer.
The Pats did know.
A radio sports guy where I live that always money said so. And , I take his word over yours every day of the week.

A Palm Beach County police report obtained by NBC News said that the case became inactive after Bradley refused to cooperate with emergency officials, telling them he didn’t know who shot him.
“En route to the hospital while the Palm Beach County Fire Rescue was treating the victim, I attempted asking him several times if he knew who did this to him and he stated, 'No,'” thereport says. He did, however, deny that the wounds were self-inflicted.
The man who is suing Aaron Hernandez and claiming the New England Patriots tight end shot him in the face told responding police the night of the incident he was shot by "both black and Hispanic males," according to a police report obtained by USA TODAY Sports.
Bradley's attorneys allege Hernandez, who attended the University of Florida from 2007-2009, was not legally licensed to carry the firearm, which they claim he pointed at Bradley sometime after the two men and two others left Tootsie's, a strip club in Miami where they allege the two had an argument.
"We don't know whether it was accidental or deliberate," Jaroslawicz said when asked how and why the gun was allegedly discharged. "If we get to take Mr. Hernandez's testimony, perhaps he will tell us he accidentally pulled the trigger or maybe he did it on purpose."
