Will win- Matt Ryan
Should win- Matt Ryan
Disclaimer if Brady just played in 2 or so more games and had like 31 TD's and 2 picks and go 11-1 I would say Brady.
This i just don't get. It doesn't make any sense to me.
The case of Ryan isn't just stats, but how awful his defense has been. Brady playing in more games doesn't change that.
If you care about stats and stat averages, Brady's averages are as good or better than Ryan's for the most part. The only difference is games played. BUT, I don't see how you can hold that against him when he's won the SAME amount of games, in 4 fewer games played. 12 games played, 11 wins. Matty had four more games and still only managed 11 wins. Of course, the defense argument makes that moot. This point really is for those that say "oh, but the Pats went 3-1 in the first four!". That's great. It's a .75 win %. Brady still won as many games as Ryan and posted a ridiculous 91.7 win %.
And that's why I'd pick Brady. All these people, "but he missed four games". Yeah, and he still won 2 more games than Rodgers, as many games as Ryan, and just 2 fewer than Zak/Pres (while leading the team to the best record in the NFL). So IMO, how can you really hold those 4 games against him?
I'm fine with Ryan getting it though, he's deserving. He's had an incredible year and his team would be no where with their defense. But I think Brady's just been better and it shouldn't matter if you're team wins by 3 points or by 20. Good QB play is good QB play.
