Yours is pretty spot on. Although I think Revis might still be #1 or 2 if he was in a better scheme.

He's been #1 so far this year.

4 INT's.

Game Winning INT vs. Jets.

Game Winning pass defense vs. Falcons.

Completely shutdown the biggest offensive threat this year (Jimmy Graham), and did a damn good job on another Top 5 offensive threat (Julio Jones)

If you base it on this season's play, you can interchange Sherman, Talib and Peterson between 1, 2 and 3 depending on preference.

Before this season, I would have said he's a top 20 corner and probably left it at that. After what he's done through 5 weeks, though (shutting down Jones, Green, and Graham) I have to put him in the top 5. He's absolutely one of the best. If you're just looking at this season in a vacuum, he's probably been #1.

Guys he has gone against this year: Stevie Johnson, Vincent Jackson, Julio Jones/Roddy White, AJ Green and Jimmy Graham. All either shut down or contained by him.

It's been one of the best stretches of performances of a CB I've seen. This is why Bill needs to open that checkbook and sign him. It's the CB he's been searching for since '05. This is why things aligned and Schiano got the job in TB, to hand Talib over for a 4th round pick.

1. Sherman
2. Revis (used properly)
3. Talib

Peterson is 4. but would be #1 on CB's I'd want on my team. 4.31 speed, 12 INTs and 4 punt return TDs by age 23. His ceiling is honestly Deion-like.

That 6-12 range seems about right.

Deion Sanders said talib has been the best corner in the league THIS year.

That speaks volume right there.

The more we gush about him and his theoretical ranking (top 5 if you ask me), the more I realize he's now injured and they may let him walk based on his price. We can't have nice things.

Who's the senior starting CB at Rutgers this year?

That 6-12 range seems about right.

Name 11 starting CBs who have outplayed Talib so far this season. He's closer to top 5 than he is bottom 12.

He's been the best this season by far, but I'd still take Revis or Peterson over him. Sherman is good but, a Lil overrated in my book. He's got two damn good safeties playing behind him.
