What's happening with Kyle Dugger and Jon Jones and what it means...

We need more than that.
That's what sucks: this Team is like gangrene with inferior talent on both sides of the ball.

But can his ego afford another season like this? Because you know Wolf and Mayo aren’t fixing it.

We could trade wolf and Mayo for Reid and the chiefs GM and the chiefs would miss the playoffs next year.

Absolutely do I think his ego can afford another season like this. He looks at his trophy case and says to himself I (I being the key word here) was responsible for 9 Lamar Hunt trophies and 6 Lombardi trophies in 20 years. I was responsible for franchise being worth nearly $7.5B.

Personally, RKK might have cared about the fans in 1994. 30 years later, I don't think he gives a **** what the fans think.

I disagree.
The primary thing this team lacks is needing average quality starters in place of a few slugs, and depth and quality role players across the board.
The “starters” include a handful of liabilities and the bottom half of the roster is pathetic.
If we added average level starters across the OL (4 of 5 wouldn’t be playing in any other NFL team) at WR, DT Edge, ILB, and now safety after losing peppers, plus had capable depth this would be a competitive team, coaching aside.

We don’t need world beaters, we just need guys that don’t suck

What is Scott Pioli doing these days??

Not sure but I will take this opportunity to say that on February 5th, 2017, probably around 8:00PM during halftime, he was in the owner's booth, watching the Falcons build a crushing lead, nervously standing by while everyone was celebrating. When someone told him to lighten up, he almost yelled "THAT'S TOM BRADY DOWN THERE, AND HE'S GONNA COME BACK. THE ONLY THING WE CAN HOPE FOR, IS THAT WHEN HE COMES BACK, HE DOESNT COME FOR US."

lol I love that story. Sorry to go off topic.

He seems to be trying awfully hard to sell that thinking to the fans.

I don’t think he cars about the facts but I think hr cares most of all about what the fans think of him.

You think that one good effort in 5 remaining games should save the coaching staff? Or an exceptional effort by one player to single handedly cause a win?
I hope Kraft doesn’t think that way.
2025 looks a lot like yesterday if we don’t clean house
That's not exactly what I meant. More like I'm ready fire them now and unless they show something else.

If they do show something then we can consider if its enough.

2 more wins would probably be enough. 1 win and effort way better than yesterday in the other 4 might be enough. 1 win and a few players like Barmore start playing well also maybe.

Let's see what happens.

As it stands now it's a tough sell to bring them back.

He's very similar to Chung. How much did we pay Chung (when we actually played him at his position and became very valuable to the defense)? It'd be interesting to see his contract adjust for inflation and how it matches Duggar.
Chung got paid peanuts compared to Dugger. Contract history is listed here.

I never liked Dugger he was always overrated here: Teams with Speed just show how limited he is. We should have let him walk last FA.

Yep.

And to think that Bill & Little Nicky & Nike could've had Either of these REAL Pro-Bowl-caliber DBs: FS Antoine Winfield Jr or CB Trevon Diggs.

2020: Yet another Horrible draft. Fact.

I did what's best for the team! Woof woof!

A.J. no Team have Two Picks in 2025 First Round unless a Team is willing to with a Proven Player. I could accept that.
Right now. It’s early. There can be player for pick deals in March; we did it in 2017 and 2018. Pats could trade back for an additional 2026 first and a 2025 3rd, and then repackage those in a separate trade to jump back into the 1st round. Or they could trade into future years and use the extra ammo for those future years and hopefully nail FA this year and the picks we do make this year.

We just need competent people to make these selections.

It's a decade years later. Everything has changed. This is like comparing Peyton Manning's contract in 2014 at $19m a year to the $60m a year contracts of today.
I'm pretty sure Chung was not making top 6 S money like Dugger is.

Ed Reed signed a new contract for $5m per season in 2013.

Chung signed for $3.33m that same year.

Bernard Pollard sign a $2m contract.

In 2012, LaRon Landry, Reggie Nelson, Dwight Lowery, Ronde Barber, all signed contracts in the 3s, right around Chung's #

Here's the answer to the question. Chung wasn't even in the top 20 of S's from 2014 until the day he left.

Bill would've let Dugger walk.

They get to 5 wins, RKK will say see I was right. If they stay at 3 wins, RKK will just blame Bill. Oversimplified yes, but RKK thinks he's a football guru who's mostly responsible for 6 SB wins.
How the mighty have fallen, the bar is set at 4 wins so if Mayo gets to 5, then RK is satisfied with that ? I agree with everyone that says his ego will keep him from making a change , but inside it will be eating him up that he got rid of one coach with 4 wins last season and replaced him with his binkie that got 5 wins !!!
He will give him another year but if next year the team is not competitive and does not make the playoffs then all bets should be off .
Put in the right situation , Dugger can be good but this coaching staff do not know how to use him whatsoever !

I personally think Dugger is playing nervous (thinking too much), because he isn't where he's at his best/instinct.

He's not a beagle/ sniff it out player, I think he's more Pitbull/SEE, Attack Attack Attack!
Looks like they aren't playing to his strengths.

Like I've said, I'm JAG, so what do I know.
I'm wrong all the time.

Under Belichick, Dugger was a very good player. He would've let him walk and done what at safety? It's a very weak position.
