I disagree.
The primary thing this team lacks is needing average quality starters in place of a few slugs, and depth and quality role players across the board.
The “starters” include a handful of liabilities and the bottom half of the roster is pathetic.
If we added average level starters across the OL (4 of 5 wouldn’t be playing in any other NFL team) at WR, DT Edge, ILB, and now safety after losing peppers, plus had capable depth this would be a competitive team, coaching aside.

We don’t need world beaters, we just need guys that don’t suck

Not sure but I will take this opportunity to say that on February 5th, 2017, probably around 8:00PM during halftime, he was in the owner's booth, watching the Falcons build a crushing lead, nervously standing by while everyone was celebrating. Right now. It’s early. There can be player for pick deals in March; we did it in 2017 and 2018. Pats could trade back for an additional 2026 first and a 2025 3rd, and then repackage those in a separate trade to jump back into the 1st round. Or they could trade into future years and use the extra ammo for those future years and hopefully nail FA this year and the picks we do make this year.

They get to 5 wins, RKK will say see I was right. If they stay at 3 wins, RKK will just blame Bill. Oversimplified yes, but RKK thinks he's a football guru who's mostly responsible for 6 SB wins.

How the mighty have fallen, the bar is set at 4 wins so if Mayo gets to 5, then RK is satisfied with that ? He will give him another year but if next year the team is not competitive and does not make the playoffs then all bets should be off .
