Mike Reiss of ESPNBoston.com reported on Friday that defensive lineman Ty Warren is out for the year with a hip injury, which unfortunately will send him to injured reserve for the 2010 season.
As a result the team has reinstated Derrick Burgess to the active roster. Reiss reports that Burgess has reported to Foxboro and passed his physical and conditioning test, and will likely begin practicing with the team when they return to the field on Sunday.
Warren's likely replacement will be another player with the same last name, with Gerard Warren playing well last night during the team's exhibition win over the New Orleans Saints. He's the likely candidate to take over at left defensive end in his absence.
