Brian Hoyer - Career Record: 16-25 in 15 seasons
Jacoby Brissett - Career Record: 19-34 in 9 seasons
Just to be clear, I'm not saying Brian Hoyer is a great QB or even a good one. But he had a couple of seasons as a starter (I'm thinking Houston 10 years ago) where he was decent, and it was often said by the Pats he was a VERY valuable guy to have on the team when prepping for an opponent. I'm not sure Jacoby fits that mold.

Merely trying to point out that the team might value having a veteran who knows how to game prep as Maye's backup more than a guy who is trying to crack the lineup.

Milton for a second round pick, his ceiling is too high to let him go for any less.
My opinion which means nothing is that 14 years of college ball can't be erased by a preseason and 1 game against bottom of the roster Bills, basically a preseason game in week 18. I hope I am wrong about him. But for people to say his draft spot was a mistake are being overly optimistic at this point in his career. That being said I am excited to see him with Josh

Milton + 77th pick + fourth rounder - Steelers first round pick (21) . Values Milton at around 40th draft pick. I would prefer this.

Else Milton + our 2nd round pick for pick 21 and Pittsburg 3rd rounder. They already don't have 2nd rounder this year. So doubtful if they do just 2nd and 4th.

I have seen his name tied to every single theoretical trade proposal thats been made this off season...

my particular favorite one was Milton straight up for Myles Garrett... lol, sure, I'd do that in a heart beat... not sure cleveland would though...

so whats he worth, if anything, on the trade market?

my personal opinion is he's worth nothing.

TLAPFTJMIWADP (then laughed at Pats fans thinking Joe Milton is worth a draft pick)
A 4th. Yesterday Curran and Perry on patriots Podcast mentioned Milton has told people in the organization he wants to be a starter. So I think it's imminent that we probably will be dealing him. I kinda feel like that's why Dobbs was signed.

Dobbs was signed because we need a vet qb. It's a sign that Jacoby is bye bye

That and he's tied to Vrabel, is just as athletic as Drake and I think Milton will be moved to acquire a top WR.

I don't think he is going anywhere tbh... hes qb3...

Yup.

I'm sure they have had teams call.

But what the Pats(fans) want and what other teams are offering are most likely worlds apart...

There is an innate value to having a promising QB under a rookie contract... esp a 6th round contract... milton as an insurance policy is more valuable to the franchise than any random 3rd or 4th round pick is worth...

How many developmental QBs did we go thru before hitting on Jimmy GQ? A metric **** ton iirc...

Yes. I like Milton and feel like we should be keep him and continued development under Josh. Unless..... Roseman says... ok.. that talented 6"5 guy that does back flips and the 3rd rounder for AJ ok deal!

I know I'm

People need to get over the fact that Milton was a 6th round pick.

Polk was a high 2nd.

Which would bring more back in trade?

People who think a 4th round pick is a good return should consider that we picked Bailey Zappe in the 4th.

Which would you rather have?

It is supply and demand, and there is a poor supply of good QB prospects this year and more demand than there is supply.

If a team is willing to pay a 2nd rounder or better I would consider it, otherwise I prefer keeping him as Maye insurance, and a gadget for Josh to work with.

If... eagles wanted JM3 and a 4th rounder for AJ brown would you do it?..

Just a question, what's he supposed to say? I want to hold a Surface tablet forever?

I would give up 4 for aj brown...

That scenario is different from moving Milton for a 4th... you are getting a tangible asset with a proven track record... it's an apples to oranges comparison.

That is another good scenario yeah.. I'd give up 4 for brown too.

If we assume Milton is better than any QB in this draft, why would the Pats trade him for a day 3 pick?
