It looks like the Justin Fields trade proposals. I agree. But since Milton is on second year no point dealing him for anything less than 2nd round pick. What is the value of any pick below 3rd round. At least 2nd round pick can be used for trading up to 1st or getting Higgins.
I understand The valuations are absurd and too high for someone who has not played much. But if he pans out to a franchise QB we don't want to be holding the bag with a sixth round pick when we could have obtained much more.
Teams with low cap space and need for QB need to pay us the premium to get an opportunity to experiment it out with Milton.
Anthony Richardson was drafted with the 3rd pick. Zach Wilson 3rd pick. Milton would be in that tier and comes at a very low opportunity cost of 2nd round pick and controlled cost of 2 million $/ year for next 3 years . Why give him to another team for their measly day 3 pick. We can just keep him as a backup for a day 3 pick.
There are no sure fire QB prospects in this draft class beyond cam ward. So desperate teams will be forced to draft higher . At least Milton has 1 game of NFL tape vs others who have none.
