From Ian's column this morning:
In the final game of the 2024 regular season, the New England Patriots came out of that game learning that the team appears to potentially have a solid back up quarterback behind Drake Maye.

According to The Boston Sports Journal’s Greg Bedard, it sounds like the team may entertain potential trade offers for Joe Milton this offseason, with Bedard noting that a weak quarterback draft class might drive Milton’s value up to the point where the Patriots may have to seriously consider moving him.
“They drafted him in the sixth round. If you can get a good pop on it, maybe you just trade him and then do it again with somebody else,” said Bedard. “And so I think I would guess that they’re going to start listening because if you look at it, the third-round quarterback evaluations, if you’re talking like, Riley Leonard or Dillon Gabriel or whoever, would you rather draft those guys or go with Joe Milton, who has all the physical skills that you want: size, running ability, arm strength, and now you have NFL film against some of the Bills’ backups, but still, it’s NFL film. It’s better than the college film. Or would you rather use your third-round pick to trade to the Patriots for a Joe Milton?”
“So I think if the Patriots could get a third-round pick, and perhaps it goes up, but at least a third-round pick to go from 6 to 3, that’s a great return on investment, and I think you have to entertain that.”
