I was hoping for the following poll:

Wes Welker has seen a decrease in playing time because:

A) Suddenly, Julian Edleman brings more to this offense (the same Edelman who had something like 4 catches over the past two year or roughly 200 less than Welker)

B) Welker has some type of injury (that hasn't visibly slowed him down at all)

C) It's some type of disciplinary action related to Welker missing time during the preseason and possibly other behind the scenes issues.

Rumors now have it that the possibility exists that the Pats are using Edelman over Welker with the idea of trading him by the October 30th deadline and getting Edelman ready for a full time role.

That would make sense and answer the question of why they are doing this
