I'm not sure where my thread went. Apparently if it's not a poll I'm getting deleted.

Vrabel is way to aggressive and stubborn and I think it's going to cost us a game probably in the playoffs when it matters most.

Just a quick little menty b nice recovery.

Will it cost them this year? Idk. Maybe. Eventually? Yes. As Vrabel said you gotta gamble if you wanna win sometimes and you're not gonna win every bet so eventually it'll catch up

I was pulling my hair and yelling at the tv screen when the Pats attempted to score on an eighth consecutive play.
More of the same on that final Bengals drive, with the differential being six rather than nine.
(Insert Jimi Hendrix reference here.)
It all worked out though.
That will be a learning experience for Vrabel/McDaniels/the entire offense - specifically when 40% of your OL is no longer on the field.

At this point I am on from Cincinnati. A win is a win is a win.
Hopefully the Pats do not look past NYG.
The Gints nearly beat Detroit (with Jameis Winston at QB), and should have won if not for their own very questionable coaching decision.

Every head coach in the entire history of the NFL has a decision or three that they wish they could take a mulligan on.
Thankfully that did not result in a loss rather than a win in this case.

At some point, sure. One day there will be a 4th down decision or something that goes bad, that you'll be able to point to as the difference in the game. All coaches have decisions that don't work out.
I do like Vrabel's aggressiveness in most situations. However, we can't be ignorant and think that BB's patience and irritatingly "sound football doctrine" didn't end up winning us more games than not. Especially in the playoffs.
So - should Vrabel have kicked the FG at the goal line after 7 attempts? Yes. But he has ego and pride too.
Overall - I think his aggressive coaching style will win more games than he loses.

I think he has to adapt to the fact that we're not a smash-mouth running team and won't succeed in most 4th & 1 runs. I don't mind going for a 4th and 3 from the 40, but not a run on 4th and 1. That's just not us at this point.

Also, yesterday at the end of the half was at least the 2nd time he's run down the clock way too far with all his TO's unused.

What do you mean? They didn’t get a first down, kicked a field goal and left enough time on the clock for Cincinnati to score a field goal. Were you hoping they would leave more time on the clock so that the Bengals could score a touchdown?

Have we learned nothing from the past five years. Embrace any win. Being bitter after a win doesn’t make you more enlightened or reflect that you have some keen insight- it just shows you are likely a tragic, persistently unhappy person.

No win is a given.
