I was pulling my hair and yelling at the tv screen when the Pats attempted to score on an eighth consecutive play.
More of the same on that final Bengals drive, with the differential being six rather than nine.
(Insert Jimi Hendrix reference here.)
It all worked out though.
That will be a learning experience for Vrabel/McDaniels/the entire offense - specifically when 40% of your OL is no longer on the field.

At this point I am on from Cincinnati. A win is a win is a win.
Hopefully the Pats do not look past NYG.
The Gints nearly beat Detroit (with Jameis Winston at QB), and should have won if not for their own very questionable coaching decision.

Every head coach in the entire history of the NFL has a decision or three that they wish they could take a mulligan on.
Thankfully that did not result in a loss rather than a win in this case.
8 in a row was nuts

No because Stretch will be the voice of reason...that's my hill.

Yeah after failing to get it in after so many tries I was hoping he would take the 3 points. I wonder if it was some kinda player mind thing we cant kick it now or they will get momentum from the fact we surrendered and they won the trench warfare.

Normally I am of the mindset that "if we don't score, so what, we have the other team pinned down deep".
But in this scenario I wonder if failing to score can be demoralizing for the offense (and the defense, for that matter), while also giving an adrenaline boost to the opponent.

Not enough options on this **** poll. You know the one to include when said **** poll is presented to us..

Well Cincy fans are convinced Taylor’s cowardice cost them a game

Belongs with all the “Drake Maye is trying too hard to win” posts

Well eventually all HC's cost the team a game. So...yeah.

I don't think he is irresponsible like Campbell.

Maybe SBB was gymrat all along?

If we're actually going to talk about this I'd like to add I think so far Vrabel has been aggressive at the right times and took the points at the right times. He's not one of these coaches that always goes for it on 4th down, but he does enough to try to maximize results. I was glad he kicked it to go up 6 at the end there, I'd have really questioned him going for it.

What do you mean? They didn’t get a first down, kicked a field goal and left enough time on the clock for Cincinnati to score a field goal. Were you hoping they would leave more time on the clock so that the Bengals could score a touchdown?
No, though I see your point. If he'd stopped the clock at about midfield with a minute twenty left, the offense could have gotten organized for a TD drive. Instead they were rushed, snapped it at about 40 seconds, it wasn't their best play, and after that had to play for the FG, with time left for Cinci. It was just a moment of chaos that needed a TO to regroup.

Prefer to see a coach who takes reasonable chances than a coach who fails to have confidence in his team to take those chances..
Vrable is doing fine in my book and the major reason why we are at 10 wins this season..

Just ignore this troll thread. The toddler who started it doesn’t give a crap about Vrabel or the Patriots.
