I'm sure many of us were watching Sunday Night Football. For those of you who weren't, though, the Atlanta Falcons found themselves in a similar situation to the Super Bowl. The Falcons were up by 24 (34-10) late in the third quarter but allowed the Packers to get a score and capture momentum. For those of you watching, I'm curious to know...............

......Were you rooting for the Falcons to collapse again and suffer another humiliating defeat (similar to the Super Bowl)?

Or were you rooting for them to win?

From my standpoint, I was rooting for the Falcons to lock down the game, and this is coming from someone who likes the Packers. Yes, the Packers are my NFC team and I wanted them to win going into the game, but given the circumstances I didn't want them to complete the comeback. Even though this game (regardless of outcome) would be a small blip in NFL history, I still thought that ANOTHER blown collapse (making it 2 in the Falcons' last 3 games) would in some way (even if miniscule) would diminish the Patriots' feat. Not that it should matter, but it would give more weight to the Falcon's imploding as opposed to the Patriots being playmakers (even though it was both). Were others thinking like me?
I dispute the Packers ever capturing momentum. They could have played another four quarters and the Packers would still lose.

You go on the Falcons forum, You'll start hating them. A few of them keep trying to push the narrative that Brady is in decline. Their obsession with the Patriots is mentally ill. We really did a number on them.

Plus let's not forget Arthur Blank's ignorant comments on framegate. F*ck that loser.
Blank got his when he did his little sideline victory thing and the team left him out to dry.

I
It crossed my mind....then I thought how great it would be if Rodgers tried a comeback and failed miserably. Shows the difference between 1st and 2nd tier qbs.

I voted no because it would have cheapened our's.

0-36 on the road when Rodgers is trailing in the 4th quarter, is it?

Yeah, agree with this.

Yeah, agree with this.
0-37, now, when trailing by more than 1 point anytime in the 4th quarter vs. teams with a winning record, home or road.

If that seems too contrived, he is also 1-28 vs. all NFL teams, regardless of record, who were ahead by 8 or more points in the second half.

More haters* mediots* try to put Rodgers on Mt Rushmore, more he fails to get it done. While they continue to make excuses and ignore his comin up short BUT hey he can throw a really mean Hail Mary Pass, WOW never saw a QB like him ever that is so accurate and does Houdini type things with his arm and legs. Like NFL from beginning of time never had a player anywhere in their history remotely close to Rodgers. It Starts,Ends! Right here with TB.

Ok, and I disagree with your dispute. I guess we'll just have to agree to disagree. The Pack had outscored them 13-0 to draw within 2 scores with 6 minutes left.

Yeah, agree with this.

Having momentum and ultimately winning are two different things.

The Packers outscored them 13-0 and got it to within 11 points with a little under 6 minutes to go. How can you deny that they had momentum?

Don't care about Atlanta. Don't hate them. I'd rather Brady lose a SB to Ryan over Rodgers any day.

I didn't want the Pack to win, was hoping for a pic six to end it.

That said, the SB comeback has mentally crippled them, last week it was down to the wire and this week they froze for another qtr and a half.

Because Aaron Rodgers was at QB.

There's a difference between momentum and garbage yards.

Blank.
On Deflate-gate, he was toeing the party line...and his comments weren't a whole lot worse than the CHB's. So, there's a long list of which he is just one member on that.
Loser? The guy went to public schools in New York and is worth ~$4 billion. He might act a little goofy in his owner's box and on the sidelines, but he's apparently very good to the people around him...so, if you're calling him a "loser," I'm glad you're not judging me...

Frankly, no. Anyone over, say, 30 remembers that bad old days. I'd not like the man in the mirror if he were as vindictive as Bear fans in 1986.
