We're on to the 3-4 Chargers (and they're on a roll)

Chargers arent bad if Rivers limits mistakes. Their pass rush definitely has me worried and they have a decent secondary but I think they are banged up.

Spent some time looking at the Chargers after they shut out the Broncos to climb to 3-4 after starting off 0-4. This is a team that is drinking the Kool-Aid that 1st-time Head Coach Anthony Lynn is ladling out.

Rivers is playing conservative, protect-the-ball football and doing it well. The Chargers' defense is fast. Joey Bosa may be the best defender in the AFC. They have great special teams.

See the sack of QB Simien at about the 7:00 minute mark of the video below. Flattened.

This smells like a trap game since the Chargers haven't been worth a damn for so long. The defense has to have another game of intensity and discipline, and the special teams have to be excellent in coverage.

Anthony Lynn Is Changing the Culture of the Chargers

Don't worry Pats will win.

On defense, the Patriots need to concentrate on stopping both the run and the pass while keeping points off the board.

On offense, I think it’s imperative that they try to score points on every drive and have positive plays both on the ground and through the air.

Some truly Foutsian analysis there. Good work.

honestly, just play steady and wait for rivers to **** it up like normal.

I look forward to your analysis of the special teams matchup.

The record of West Coast teams playing on the East Coast at 1 pm is terrible, something like a 35% winning percentage. San Diego is 5-9 from 2014 on in 1 pm EST kickoff games...
Also, West Coast teams are notorious slow starters in 1 pm EST games....could be a chance to put the hammer down early on Sunday and Make SD one dimensional....
Yes, I know they're in LA now, but LA Chargers doesn't sound right...

Especially after the wing-clipping of the Falcons, when it comes to Rivers and the "Super Chargers", I trust in Bill and his braintrust to...

...unplug 'em.

I’m far from sold on the Chargers.
Last weeks win was a good win over a very average team but they lost their first 4 then beat the winless giants after all their receivers went out, because all their receivers went out, and the raiders by a point at home in carts first game back with a broken bone in his back for the raiders 4th consecutive loss all against teams that won’t be in the playoffs (Denver Balt wash chargers).

The west coast teams playing in the east coast factor that someone already mentioned is at play too.

They can't run the ball (31st Run O, 79.1 per game and a 3.5 ypc) and can't stop the run (31st Run D , 140.6 per game and 4.9 ypc). Pats have their full compliment of backs now and you saw what it did to the Falcons. Wouldn't surprise me if this a game where we see the Pats run it 40-45 times and Brady throws it no more than 20-25 times.

Pats coming into this one off of some very solid run games game
23 carries 113 yards 4.9 ypc vs the Bucs
25 carries 118 yards 4.7 ypc vs the jests
35 carries 162 yards 4.5 ypc vs the Falcons

Bosa and Ingram while they are good to great pass rushers don't hold up in the run game and that's why the Chargers are being gashed on the ground.

I think we can win but I am worried that brady is going to take a beating with ingram and bosa...

I hope that’s not the game plan. No matter what the run d is giving up if you run too much on 1st and 2nd down you are trying to move down the field in small chunks, cripple your passing game and set yourself up for needing to convert a bunch of 3rd downs.

The best way to attack a defenses weakness is to not overattack it, because doing that allows them to overcompensate to shore it up.

They know we will try to take advantage of their run d and will try to clog the box, at which time we throw.

I could see something like last week where we run a lot protecting a leaf and get near 50/50.

This isn’t the colts where we can tell them we are running every play and still walk right down the field

This week we learn if the OL has turned the corner with Thuney’s improvement and Cannon back to dominance due to health. The Chargers have the best EDGE rush duo in the NFL.

Never forget the 2006 AFCDG. So incredibly epic.

Although, good chance that if we had lost to them, Seyton only has 1 ring but the saltiness of Lady T has made it well worth it

I called it, picked Chargers last 3 weeks, they've reeled people back in and now they're going to lose like 4 or 5 games in a row.
