We're on to Pittsburgh

Are those really the odds? Or was it not intended for literal interpretation? I'm not being sarcastic. I honestly have no idea.

You guys may be right. I just think that he's painted into a corner having already attended the city of Atlanta this weekend. It's going to look weird as hell. It was a thought that was being circulated by some mediots on twitter, and there was even a link to it here on our newsfeed. I don't know if there's any truth to it or not, but in my opinion, he's still going to bring attention, while also looking like a major wussy.

It's 3am brother Sup. That's cheetos and sarcasm time (I have no idea if there are odds on Rog's trip to Foxboro).

Fair point. The Patriots' offensive potency isn't quite as sharp as in some years past (it's potent just not as potent). The balance of a solid and capable D is definitely needed to get us to number 5 (though I think the O if it gets hot could carry a game).

No doubt we will really need the D against our potential SB opponent. Either ATL or GB is capable of racking up yards, drives and points. But I'm not as sold on needing it as critically against Pitt. Yes we'll need it no doubt. Yet being unable to score a single TD against KC? KC's not a bad D but not a single TD? While it could have simply been an off night for their red zone O, it should be troubling to any Pitt fan to see not a single TD. I tell ya, KC is the only, formerly, remaining team they could get away with that with.
No, they are acting as if they won the SB here. Live shots to parties and bars on the news for hours at a time (on a loop). Lots of confidence that SB7 is theirs no matter what. I've yet to hear of any apprehension on the news/family (was discussing it today) or even on my social media feed.

Actually, I've yet to hear a Steeler player or member of the fan base even complain about not scoring a TD. If anything, it's somehow made them feel more confident in shutting down our offense, since they were able to win in such fashion. I despise Steeler week. I just hate it.

Colts beat the ravens on the road with 5 FGs with peyton manning before beating pats at home in the AFCCG. So one game doesnt carry over to another .

Okay bud, sorry for being so dense. I'm sure there are/will be odds somewhere this week.

While you are right, the Chiefs D is not exactly 2006 Ravens-like.

Well, yeah but it doesnt matter does it ? whether you win by scoring TD's or FGs. Game changes every week with the opponent.

Certainly a previous year doesn't markedly carry over and I agree that the previous week's game is not the next week's game. However, last week's game does allow some tangential inferences to be made for next week. The Patriots' struggles against a certain type D last week makes for a some consideration for the next game doesn't it? If so I'd say the same thing applies to Pitt's inability to score a TD.

Whether it was a complete outlier or it suggests, like the Patriots, there is a soft spot that can be exposed. With that said your point is a fair one.

umm...somehow im not surprised that Tomlin can't count 24 hours...

we played at the exact same time as them yesterday....but OK

Yeah, but with travel, etc. (they get into Pittsburgh this morning at 4am) they won't start work until a day and a half after the Pats coaches started in on them Sunday night.

Basically it comes down to Butler on Brown with safety shading to that side. Limit Bell running and keep a spy on him when he goes into the flat. Is Green healthy or not? That is pretty much it when it comes to talking about our D vs their O. Those are the important stories lines. Can they do it and will Green be good to go? Nothing else matters.

I would counter with the home run shots to the 2d, 3d, and 4th receivers (like the Fuller drop) where there is no additional safety help to offer (due to the extra receivers). That and the wheel route (which hasn't reared it's ugly head this playoff...yet) to Bell are the routes that need to be addressed. Brown is going to get his (he always does) they'll just try to ensure its yards not first downs or scores.

To me that's where this game will be won or lost - which second or third option, for which team, steps up and has a game?

(and hey anyone seen Lil Lloyd? He's gotta be around here somewhere!)

I'm scared!

Discuss.

I have the solution. It's one that I used successfully with one of my children 25 years ago. Grab a can of air freshener, tape a phony label on it that says "Monster Spray" and spray some in the room before you go to sleep.

The Pats look like the better team but this is going to be a tough game. Say what you will about KC but they are hard to beat at home. The Steelers knocked'em off gotta respect that.

The Big Ben (?) Steelers are now 6-1 vs KC.

Couldn't stay up....too late....saw highlights...refs....

I am wondering if TFB caught a little of what BFT had last week. He seemed a little off Sat. don't you think?

Of course double Brown. Our boys have been good against the run this year, gonna have to prove it again on Sunday.

Should be a good game...

The two refs this next round will most likely be Vinovich and Clete Blakeman...the crews have yet to be assigned

We could do worse.

What the hell is wrong with Brown, man he is the absolute definition of narcissistic

Early line is Patriots -4.5 points and and over/under of 51.5. Chalk would be Pats 27-23. Maybe.

Bell just carried the ball forever (30 carries, 170 yards) against the Chiefs. The Steelers performance in KC with no TDs has to have them wondering what to do if the Pats get a lead, clamp down on Antonio Brown, and force them to score with other guys.

The Steelers defense is pretty ordinary, and their pass rush is nothing like the Texans. Overall, the Steelers are pretty mediocre stat-wise. 17th in yards per carry, 16th in passing yards allowed, 15th in INTs, 10th in points allowed per game, 20th in rushing TDs allowed. Patriots should be able to run and pass on these guys.
