Welcome to our world, Cowboys fans

He will get 2 games at most. Because we all know beating the **** out of a woman isn't as bad as weather deflated footballs.

Why 2? Josh Brown got 1 game after multiple offenses.

I long for the days of Tagliabue and Rozelle when it comes to stuff like this. Too much dirty laundry aired in public and Goodell is on a non-stop power trip.
What's sad is that no one will do anything about it. The suspensions affect far too few players for there to be a league wide revolt. Goodell will continue to be able to abuse his power.

If Schefter's reports are true and Elliot only gets 1-2 games, it will be interesting to hear their reasoning, as domestic cases are normally 6 games to start. I wonder if it will be along the same lines of not cooperating, etc?

The punishment will be based on the precedent set in the Josh Brown case.

That will be the standard for all future situations involving the Jets, Giants, Steelers, Cowboys, Colts, etc.

The six game suspension rule will commence once it happens to any player that is not on the roster of one the teams listed above.

Unless it happens to a Patriot player, in which case

So now I can say I am thoroughly enjoying the weeping and wailing coming from Cowboys fans regarding the potential suspension of one of their own: Ezekiel Elliott.

The idiocy/hypocrisy is hilarious... I wish my old account was still active, so I'll just have to repost here.... comments such as:

......
Why would the NFL ever alter their punishment system when 31 fanbases dance with delight at the misfortunes of any team but theirs, regardless of circumstances.... like unproven accusations.

Who's the hypocrite now?

From my cheap seats...if Elliot gets suspended without verifiable evidence....Dallas is getting screwed. PatsFans know what that's like.

I hope they do get screwed. If their owner was a bit more vocal in our defense, I would be a bit more vocal in his.

I joined the Cowboys forum before we played them one particular year. Both teams were undefeated, 9-0 I think??. Anyway all they were taking about was spygate and the cheating Patriots. I made a post linking Jimmy Johnson's interview where he admitted he taped signals routinely. That was the last post I made because I was banned. The post was removed and I wonder how many ever even saw it.

Yikes. You were lucky they didn't send you to the gulags.

Not cooperating gets you 4 games. They make this **** up as they go.
Which is why they need to stay out of it altogether and let the law handle it.

Mara and Goodell both visit the same dominatrix for their perverted sexual needs, they usual hire "Mistress Tom" for some good old fashioned discipline for their evil deeds..

In my experience, Cowboys fans are extremely threatened and obsessed with NE, especially for an NFC team they have never played in the SB.

They love to harp on "cheating" as much as any of the Patriots' rival fanbases, and in general have no clue about Jimmy Johnson or his comments/activity regarding spygate.

It's odd, but I honestly think a part of them is worried about losing that coveted AMERICA'S TEAM nickname.

There is no doubt whatsoever that Mara is involved in this. What a scumlord.

Just like I am 100% sure that there was no involvement by the Giants in 2008, in the false report that Tomase ran with two days before the Superbowl.

I don't. I think that was just the Boston media Boston mediaing.

Cowboys Giants week one? This suspension is a big deal then. I'm loading up on the Giants.

Outside of the rapists and domestic abusers in the league I think Mara is the biggest piece of **** involved in the NFL.

That's a very high bar to achieve given the competition, but I agree.

This.

This this this.

This.

I've found them to be even worse than Steelers fans in that regard. They are jealous of us because we are what they used to be. We are experiencing a dynasty; the Cowboys fans who are old enough get to tell their children what it was like.

I'm sure the schedule makers had no idea that Elliott might be suspended for a game or two when they had the Cowboys open with Giants..... not (*Yes I am aware that the Giants opened with the Cowboys the last two years but it is so convenient),

There are essentially 4 tiers of punishment in the NFL;
1) Giants and Steelers who are essentially bulletproof and when they do get punished, it is minimal at best (e.g. Steeler kicker get 1 gamer initially for Domestic Violence). Maras and Rooneys have run this league before this commissioner and will long after Goodell is gone.......
2) Teacher's pets who get lighter treatment that makes you to scratch your head. This includes Balt (Ray Rice initially), Denver, Jets ( Revis tampering for example)and Dallas (depends on Elliott penalty to see if they belong below)
3) Everybody else but NE who gets punishment that contrasts to the teams above. This includes the Saints in Bountygate or the hammer that fell on KC for tampering.
4) Patriots- no evidence or science needed for the witchhunt.

I may have missed something but I think I'm close....
Does anybody doubt that Michael Floyd would have gotten more than a 4 game suspension had he resigned with the PAtriots???

Probably because we’ve kicked their ass each time we play them.

I know we've beaten them the last several times we've played and since we only play once every 4 years, that extends quite a way back. But I was curious enough to look it up....

It's pretty interesting. There have been 12 contests. Dallas won the first 7 from 1971 to 1996. Now NE has won the last 5, from 1999 to 2015. Next game (barring a Super Bowl matchup): We get them at home in 2019.

Read an article where some of the sportsbooks would only drop it half a point if Elliot were to be suspended, from -5 to -4.5.

They also showed that most books still have him NOT being suspended as a heavy favorite, in places where the prop/futures bet is being offered (-170 to +130), despite the report from Schefter yesterday.

This whole situation has been weird from day one.
