So that makes him better than an entire team of very talented players?

Don't get me wrong, Moss is one of my favorite players of all time, but you're kidding yourself if you think he alone is more valuable than an elite unit.
Better than all their wr

A superbowl between the Patriots-Packers would end up being a shootout...where the team with less turnovers wins...the pats/packers are very similar right now..only thing is, the Pats lost to buffalo, so the media will harp on their weakness'

the packers defense isnt that good. its the fact that they are 7-0, the media is ignoring it. A rookie QB in his first NFL start just put up over 200yards on them...

Because people feel they have to prove they are objective fans, so they don't let a little thing like facts get in the way

Yeah, this has just been irritating me for the last few weeks. I'm just trying to defend the Pats weapons. I think its just an excuse people are making for Rodgers amazing season he is having, he really is that good right now.

Ocho has 9 catches, Cobb has 11 and Driver has 10 in one more game. How is their WR core amazing?

i certainly think that the packers TOTAL offensive corps and patriots TOTAL offensive corps is quite comparable. Probably SLIGHT edge to the packers but brady doesn't have a team of chumps this year..

I'm surprised at this board right now. You guys don't think Brady has a comparable arsenal?

Target #1: Welker>Jennings (Two elite WRs, I'd take Wes)
Target #2: Gronk>Finley
Target #3: Hernandez>Nelson
Target #4: Branch>Jones
Target #5: Woodhead<Cobb
Target #6: Ochocinco<Driver (Both are pretty useless)

The stats back this up too. Why aren't our weapons getting any love here?

EDIT: In fact, the top 4 patriots targets all have better stats than the respective packers 4 targets. Cobb and Driver have 2 more catches each than Woody and Ocho too.

It's called the Payton Manning factor. You see, if another QB plays at an elite level some fans need to attribute that to an unfair offensive weapons advantage.

Nope

Rogers is the best (or second, I don't really care) QB in football. He just also happens to have the best WR group in the league. It's not a slight against him, it's just the way it is.

I agree that I'd still take Brady and have Rodgers as #2, but the words "WR group" are skewing this....

Call Aaron Hernandez a WR, do you still take the Packers WR core?

If I wanted to call it pass catching teammates I would have. I purposely said WR, which Hernandez is not.

hernandez technically is a WR....he might be listed as a TE..but the pats line him up like a WR on the sidelines and he runs routes like one

Yeah? I Remember when some personal people thought that, and gave guys like David Givins and David Patton and Deon Branch pretty good deals because they were so special.

So if it could be done, you would swap all our receivers and TE's for theirs in a package deal?

That's a different issue, because other factors (i.e. age, style of play) come into play. The Brady-Welker combo is so good that I'd be loathe to make the trade. The rest of the WRs I'd trade in a heartbeat, but that's obviously not the deal you're asking about.

Honestly, that's my beef right there. Regardless of the tight ends I couldn't get on board with any trade that looses that. I doubt many "Montana/Young to rice" or "Manning to Harrison" fans would disagree. Welkers about as close to unstoppable as I've ever seen in my lifetime so I wouldn't be on board with any trade that losses that and that includes megatron.

this is turning more into a "lets plump up our qb by degrading our offense" debate.

Face it, both brady and rodgers have a great offensive squad.

Everyone in the league says Packers recieving core is the best in the league by far. But you, has a homer have to say it otherwise. Make up theories about the Peyton Manning factor or support them, but that doesn't make you right.

We have two really good recievers in Wes and Branch. They have Greg Jennings, Driver, Nelson, Jones and Cobb. Their 5th reciever would be our number 3.

Branch is a JAG. I love him, but lets not pretend he's a superstar or anything.
