Breaking Bad is good but I just started watching it on netflix and haven't had time to get past season 1 yet. I am guessing it will be top 5 or better when I am done with it.

Actually, it will probably be top three. Each season has gotten better reviews than the last on MetaCritic, with this season coming in at 99/100 thus far.

It's really fascinating watching the first two seasons of BB in comparison to S3-5... Feels like two different shows, and I mean that in a good way. And I'm really eager to start the Wire once I have the time to.

Falcons LT Sam Baker (knee, foot) remained sidelined at Wednesday's practice.

Baker missed Week 3 against the Dolphins. Lamar Holmes moved over from right tackle to Matt Ryan's blindside. He was absolutely steamrolled, giving up seven hurries and one quarterback hit while grading out as Pro Football Focus' worst Week 3 tackle. Jeremy Trueblood filled in admirably at right tackle.

Don't even know why this is a discussion? Sure, Falcons will manage to keep the game competitive for the first half. After halftime the Patriots will probably pick up the pace proceeding to curbstomp Atlanta and leaving us in the dust. As pessimistic as I am about any game the Falcons play this season the only I hope I can lean on is the fact they haven't lost back to back games since 2009 and their great home record. Still, I wouldn't be surprised to see Chandler Jones have at least 3 sacks, 2 FF. Bring in a DE from the Pats practice squad and their guaranteed to have at least a two sack game or apply a lot of pressure. Also, Stevan Ridley will probably rush for 200 yards, great fantasy start for week 4. As you may not know our DT's and LB's are exceptionally soft, Asante can cover but that's about it and Thomas Decouldn't will literally go out of his way to avoid a tackle, so in reality there's only ten defensive players on the football field. Of course our redzone offense is exceptionally horrible, only scoring TD's 50% of the time, this comes as no surprise as Mike Smith obviously has Matt Bryant on his fantasy football team. I won't lie there are bright spots on the team such as the young corners and of course Julio Jones who leads the league in yardage but their not enough to veil all the glaring weaknesses. Pats win 24-10. I'll be back on Sunday night to congratulate y'all on the win.

MetaCritic has really become the "go-to" site as far as any kind of reviews. The way they take all of the reviews from all media outlets and combine them into one overall score is a pretty good way to do it. I think it's probably the most informative and reputable site out there.

It is solely statistical, doesn't account for injuries, weather etc...and at its core it is based on the last four games. I am a week premature with it, but had the itch to get it going this year so I dusted it off a little early.

See, this is exactly why this current season has not treated me well so far. I would have thought it to be the other way around, and I personally thought that the Steelers are the better play this week with their defense making things rough for a fragile and erratic Christian Ponder.

I'll probably just lay off and root for Minnesota. Every PIT loss makes me feel almost as good as a Pats win

It is pretty good at picking winners straight up. And some times there are some head scratchers, and more often than not they end up either being right or the game goes closer to the system score than what I would have predicted.

One thing I like to watch is reverse line movement, especially in college. That has turned things around a few times for me.

I'm thinking about creating a thread to keep a public record of how it performs. And to force myself to keep it up, because sometimes I get lazy and go a few weeks without updating it.

Hmm. I watched LOST in about 1 month on Netflix. Not really sure why they would need subtitles to explain what is going on. It's really not that confusing.

I watched the game on NFL Rewind. I didn't think he was terrible, but Dion Jordan did get around him to hit Ryan's arm to cause the game-sealing interception with 37 seconds left. And you can definitely bull rush him and power your way to the QB. I think Chandler will be able to push him back and get some pressure in Ryan's face.

I think you're thinking of the enhanced version or w/e. I think it was more for people who hadn't watched it from the start. If you don't watch it from the start you'll just be like wtf the whole time.

Yeah, we'll know a LOT more about our secondary and specifically, CB play after the next 3 games.

There were plenty of times that the opposition dropped the ball and/or screwed themselves over in the first 3 games this year, even as good as our secondary has played.

Not meaning it to sound negative b/c I think we can all agree that they've improved nicely, but improved competition will tell us a lot more in the next 2 1/2 weeks.

I am not worried about Dalton at all..but that's me. He is so dam inconsistent. If they can hold Ryan to 20..they should do well vs Dalton

I think CIN poses challenges that are different, due to their awesome defensive play/pressure that they get, along with playing them on their home field. We all just saw what happened with Green Bay, so I imagine that they'll play us tough.

AJ Green can be a handful, along with the 2 TE's, and whatever flavor of the month they'll be using opposite of Green (Sanu maybe).

I do tend to agree with your general statement though. I've never fully believed that CIN took that step into being an elite team as so many seem to think, but they are scrappy and play tough defense, and they certainly have the ability to pull off the win under the right circumstances. I think the Bengals game is definitely the least of my 3 team concerns that are coming up though.

Thats a really really good Dline which can get after the QB and our Oline hasnt been great yet, partly due to WRs getting open and now vollmer is hurt. And they have all the offensive weapons. I respect your opinion and you may be right. Their defense poses a tough challenge.

That said, there were plenty of times in the first 3 games that I saw lots of problems with them. They were in trouble at times in the PIT game and certainly didn't put a crappy team away. The first game they lost, and the last game they blew a 14-0 lead and played poorly for a long stretch of time until Green Bay eventually shot themselves in the foot one too many times.

It's hard to project which team will be the best out of the 3 opponents, as they all have good qualities to them, but there's no doubt that CIN likely has the least amount of quality offensive weapons, and that is what the poster to whom I responded to was claiming.

The word on Vollmer doesn't sound too serious, so hopefully he can make a go for next week's game at Cincinnati. We will need him, as you pointed out. Another factor to take into consideration is that we should have at least ONE of Gronkowski or Amendola back for next week's game, so that should help to offset some of their defensive advantage.

Cinci is decent, but I agree with the poster that said they haven't done anything to be considered an elite team.

Their d-line will give up yards to both Ridley and Bolden. Dalton will turn over the ball at least once if not twice. Green-Ellis might be hyped to go against the Pats, but I can bet the Patriots will be just as excited to stuff him. He is averaging 2.8 yards a carry and looks bad so far.

The Bengals corners are both pretty good, Dalton can have a decent drive or two and Gresham might test the 3rd down defense a bit. A.J. Green is good, but he isn't going to have a monster game with McCourty over top and Talib stuck to his side.

The last two games I have gone to have been loses. I will be in Cincinnati for this one. I can't take another walk out of a stadium as a loser. (The other two being Buffalo and Pittsburgh). I have to believe the Patriots will have this one for my own sake.

Let's hope your streak ends next week. I too was part of the Pittsburgh crowd with the 2011 loss, as I assume that's the game you were referring to.

I was considering going to the CIN game next week, but it's a 5 1/2 hr drive from Pittsburgh. I'm going to hit up the BAL game instead so my wife can see her beloved Cowgirls play across town first in Washington, DC. That should be an interesting day, going to 2 NFL games in the freezing cold
