Game of in…

Unfortunately Denver is going to have the tiebreaker on us, so I think it's an uphill battle for the 1 seed.

I still don't understand how some (actually most) of you were rooting for Denver over KC a few weeks ago.

They play the Packers, Chiefs and Chargers over the next month.

They deserve the number 1 seed if they get through that.

Too bad theres no style points for tie breakers

Because the Chiefs have gone to seven straight AFC championship games and won three Super Bowls in that time. Because they have been clearly the team to beat and are the current NFL dynasty. Because the Chiefs and Mahomes have shown repeatedly, many times with the help of the refs, that they will find a way to win.

So yeah, one of my top priorities is getting them the hell out, it’s insane not to think that way.

Denver still has the tougher schedule. They still have Green Bay, Jacksonville, Chiefs, and Chargers on their schedule. The Chiefs and Chargers may be fighting for their playoff lives in their games Broncos. The Broncos may control their destiny, but I think the Pats have a very good chance for the bye.

That said, I agree that we wanted the Chiefs to beat the Broncos. People are afraid of the idea of the Chiefs and not what we are seeing on the field week after week. Mahomes is playing like crap on the road.

This was the same people were saying about the Patriots in 2019. No one wanted to face the Patriots in the playoffs that year. People talked about how the refs helped the Patriots and Brady finds a way to win.

And you know what, Vrabel and the Titans came to Foxboro and spanked the Patriots in the division round and the Pats were one and done.

You are afraid of the idea of the Chiefs and not what you are seeing from them on the field.

Again, I heard someone say that last year's Chiefs were the 2018 Patriots (a team in decline that somehow won the Super Bowl) and this year's Chiefs is the 2018 Patriots (a team that finally shows it age and decline and exists quickly from the playoffs).

I get why the Commanders went for 2. If I was a Commanders fan I would have been upset if they didn't. But as a Pats fan, I would have rather see them tie the game and hope the Broncos do not score again. I didn't trust Mariotta to get in the endzone two times in a row. And I was right.

I would have rather settled for the tie rather than risking losing on such a low percentage play to win. But I am not a fan of the three win team that was on the field that night looking for something to salvage their season.

And I also wished that the Broncos were facing any other team left on their schedule next Sunday other than the Raiders. The Broncos were pretty beat up last night, the could come out flat next week especially since it is back to back road games. Unfortunately, the Raiders are the only team left on their schedule who are incapable of capitalizing on that.

Much better drive there from Houston.
Crazy what happens when you let your QB do things he can do well, and not have to do things he can't.
Man Rodgers looked washed even before he left the game.. Houston is definitely on the come up but thier offense stinks still.. Broncos had struggles with maritota at QB.. if we saw them in the postseason I was thinking when watching Josh would feast on thier LBs in coverage.. just my observations..

Agreed here Rob. I saw some things about the Broncos defense that exposed some of thier weaknesses.. on defense. Had Daniel's played they probably win Mariota didn't even have a shot on the extra point try. I was thinking, like Josh would be able to feast with Henry and Hooper against thier LBs should we see them in the postseason. Also the opposite CB spot from surtain is a weaknesses he's been picked on all season.

2018 patiots no one wanted to face and the 2019 patiots is the team that fell apart after starting off 8-0..

This is the defense we are supposed to be worried to face?
6.. good points..I was thinking similarly.. I saw some breakdowns in denvers defense that should we ever face them in the postseason.. Josh would be able to take advantage of..

The CB spot opposite Surtain
Thier LBs in coverage
They tend to be overly aggressive on 3rd downs wich leads to guys wide open

Because KC is the proven team with a future HOF QB and proven team with championship pedigree.. Denver is similar to us in alot of ways.. Denver showed some vulnerability last night and I'd expect teams to harp on such.

People still doubt the Broncos and claim that Nix aint all that.

Really? The Broncos are the # 1 seed in the AFC.

All this talk about the Denver D not good outside of Mile High is nonsense. That was Denver's 4th consecutive road win and the 2 road losses they have were by 1 point vs Indy and 3 points vs LAC. Nix proved that he is a keeper last season and he has picked up where he left off this season. Making enough plays to win is all you need.

Tomlin deserves to be fired for rolling out Rodgers like duck decoy. Stuck in the Pistol all game.

What a mess he has created.

Quick note, studies have proven that the refs have helped the Chiefs, and that wasn’t the case at all with the Patriots. Just want to clarify that.

But yeah, of course at some point teams will lose. It’s a question of when that will happen. It’s obviously easy to look at them now with a .500 record and say look at what’s on the field, they aren’t any good anymore! We’ll see. I like the idea of them not making the playoffs, I’m also talking about the historical perspective of the Patriots being better and the more they’re slapped down the better.

The chances of a tie were remote.

The Broncos likely would have used all 4 downs in most situations no matter the field position.

I remember thinking last year that Washington wasn't that good and they actually win a playoff game. Now the wheels are off the bus. I haven't seen them play ... what happened (daniels injury certainly a big part of it). I hope we're not going to follow that script. We're in better shape, right?? (he asks nervously)/

Agreed.. I didn't even recognize Rodgers on the field.. father time has come for AR.. Metcalf must be wondering why did I agree to be traded here...
