I wonder what impact the Pats loss had on Indy? I wonder if they saw Denver's victory as clearing their path to Detroit. With the Pats out of the way, the only obstacles were Pitt and then Denver and then some sacrifical NFC team and then they raise the trophy. After Pittsburgh couldn't........couldn't......
"Hey we're the Colts, 13 in a row, we're supposed to win it all. It's pre-ordained"
Yeah well despite their best efforts to give it away, nobody told Pittsbugh.
Today at least, I was a Steeler fan. ABI (anybody but Indy)
Just my $0.02,

See, I look at it a different way.

The Indy offense in the second half, espically the 4th quarter, got rolling. The first half, it looked sluggish, sorta like it did in preseason, when they went 0-5. Then come regular season, they killed people. Well, they shut down, playing 3 more preseason games, this time in the middle of december. Well, this isn't the NBA, in which Phil Jackson could shut down guys like Pippen and Jordan back in the day (or Kobe and Shaq more recently) then have them crank it to 11 for the playoffs because it was a series. Thats why to quote Herm edwards "You play to win the game," Indy shut it down, and couldn't get it going until it was too late.

Just my $0.02,

I don't know how anyone could look past the Steelers, especially with the way they turned it on in the last few games. Maybe, like you say, it's possible a team can believe all the hype that was made over them with the 13 - 0 start and think they can just show up, run through the tunnel, flip a switch, get a win. The Colts did look a bit asleep, kind of like the way the Rams came out against the Patriots in SB36. A lot of emotion and being extra fired up can sometimes make the difference. I guess it did today. What's the early line on Pittsburgh - Denver?

In Canada it only comes out on Wednesday, I don't know about the States or if it's the same or what. I'll bet that it's the same thing though to be honest, Denver by 2.5, just because they're at home.

That's right, I bet on what the betting line is going to be, big whoop, you want to fight about it?

As Marcus Pollard said a couple of years ago "They should just give us the trophy right now."

They were looking past the Steelers, Broncos, and Seahawks/Carolina.

I think the month without a meaningful game and the customary Manning playoff choke combined with a red hot physical Steelers team did them in.

No... but apparently Vanderjerk was looking at a hot babe sitting a few rows up to the right of the uprights
