Lost in this story so far is the fact that Ben may have been going as much as twice the speed limit on the world's fastest production motorcycle. If he had a helmet on his thick skull, he wouldn't even be all that injuried.....
In Virginia, we have a term for accidents when both drivers are at fault. Somebody can slam into you illegally, but if you are speeding as well, even in your lane, and under control, it becomes a 'No Fault' accident. It is a truly ****ty law, but it is applicable to the motorcycle crash if Ben were driving recklessly at 70 m.p.h. in a congested area. He may have been able to slow down from, say, 45 m.p.h. Nobody has confirmed the exact speed yet.
