Thornton has one of the top QB's in the league and because guys like Kelce are on the decline he's getting forced the ball more because teams can focus on Hollywood Brown now that they don't need to respect Kelce as much. Tyquan is sort of in the golden spot where he's not a priority and is the safest bet for Mahomes.
So yeah I get a guy who didn't see much success bragging about it, but if you become a priority receiver on a team that for the first time in 8 years looks weak, that says more about how valuable you are. Mahomes is getting some numbers no matter what. But if you are one of his top guys and it doesn't translate to success, the league ain't that afraid of you
