3.5 sacks in 18 games (basically a full season) isn’t bad for a guy you’re signing to be a depth piece. Lower risk of injury if he’s not seeing more than 10 snaps a game. And even if he gets hurt anyway - well, you didn’t spend much money on him probably. Has to be a minimum deal with maybe some decent incentives if he somehow manages to play 50% of the snaps or something like that.

If Reiff aged 35 - that quite a few people saw as locker room signing before they saw the guarantees - is worth eating 5M of cap then there should be no reason for “meanness“ against Flowers aged 30 eating zero space - in that same “locker room“/TC capacity : )

If we ignore the due respect, id say Flowers coming on the field would cause significantly less stress on the team than the son of Ferentz
