The niners next drive is the biggest of the game IMO...if the defense can get a stop there and the offense can make it a 7point game, we are right back in it.

but if they go up by 3 scores, im not sure if they can come back

Kap is hurting our D. We are using Rivera more instead of Spike and when they see that, they run it and we can't do much about it. Their QB makes them a difficult match for our defense.

I'm usually a pretty big homer ... but this game just has the feeling about it. Not gonna throw it in yet, though. Just time for more beer!

Yeah, we can't win them all. But, regardless of the outcome, I want to see the O put something together, get some execution happening.... Gut check time.

I can't remember the last time Brady brought them back from a 14 point deficit at this moment.....Not trying to be a smart a## here....but does anyone recall the last time Brady was able to Bring the Pats back from being 14 points+ (+ being we need another score to pull ahead) down??

Never seen a game so reliant on one player being out. I'm adamant if Gronk is playing then this is a COMPLETELY different ball game.

Brady would get his best target back and the pass rush would be almost nullified with his blocking, huge difference

I don't know what happened on the 2nd TD by San Fran, but Hightower and Spikes both passed their men to Dennard who had NO safety help. Clearly there was a screw up with McCourty and Gregory on that play, not to mention Spikes and Hightower BOTH can't pass men to one guy..

The D better figure out how to stop the Niners O more consistently or they will be down three scores soon after half. I don't think the O will be able to recover from that kind of deficit.

This Niner defense up front is beating up our OL. Our D did it's job early on, but those guys must be getting gassed.

If 49ers go on a TD drive to start the 2nd half, I'm not overly optimistic about a comeback. This weather isn't conducive to quick scores.

Down 14 points is going to be difficult to come back from against the niners D. I really hope they come out firing in the second half or its going to be a horrible week!!

0 receptions by Welker in the 1st half. Think that pretty much says it all.

Not to mention, this staff and Tom are going to have to come to the realization that Welker is not a deep threat and stop throwing it up deep to him in double coverage.

I have seen this same deep throw interception so many times the past 2 years. We need a real freaking deep threat. Every top team has one, except us.

Carlos Rogers made illegal contact several times on that play before the interception. It went uncalled even though it was clear that Rogers altered Welker's path.

same old song and dance once we get to a solid D that can rush 4 cover with seven and stop the run in base ala the f--ing giants. Hope the return of Gronk changes that but am now concerned the lack of a big time outside threat is gonna get us again. Thought the D played fairly well although the numbers and score don't show it. Welker, Ahern and running game non existent. Sorry to be so negative but this is where I like to vent!!!

Thank god there are no dual threats in the AFC.

The sad fact is our defense does better vs. Peyton/Schaub than Wilson/Kaepernick.......

It'd be interesting to see how the game would be if the 3 blatant PIs NE haven't got were called and the BS on Talib wasn't.

One of them would have put the Pats on the 49ers 1 yard line.

Same with the 3 drops, if those were caught how would the game look?

This game is still winnable, the 49ers haven't done anything special.

They were down 21-0 to the Bills last year, ran off 49 unanswered. Pretty sure the were down by more than 14 to them this year as well in the first game.

Granted, the 49ers aren't the Bills, but it doesn't mean they can't get a W out of this. Lot of work though.
