we've been on both sides of this now -- all that matters is the result.Patriots get no credit for almot winning Sb42 and 46; they get credit for winning 49.
Always the little things. Hightower doesn't trip up Lynch and there's no Burlr pick, and Kearse spends his post-football life cashing in on "the Catch."
Bill Polian on Mike and Mike about pats comeback
"Seattle pass rush was impacted by injuries"
"the lockett trip was a big play which was missed"
"Seattle tackled poorly"
"edelman should be mvp not brady"
I heard a lot of comments before the game from people on TV saying the Seahawks will hurt — and I mean injure — the Patriots. That the Patriots don't understand how hard these guys hit. I heard a guy on NFLN say Chancellor will take out Gronkowski early.
Well, we all know we do not root for injuries against opponents. But considering the pre-game chatter, it's striking that the 'Hawks defense lost two players —Lane and Avril. it's tough but it happens. We know.

Everything I wrote about him in the HOF thread is correct. Any chance he gets he discredits Tom Brady,BB and the Patriots. Just a warped frustrated old man.
as far as the Lockett trip as far as I'm concerned that was a makeup call for the kicker penalty which should of been 15 yards. Some ****cking people I tell you.
Most of you may already know this but, tomorrow night at 8 p.m on NFL Network, they will replay Super Bowl XLIX. It'll last until 11 p.m. Good news is that we can watch the Super Bowl without being a nervous wreck.
Woke up this morning with a huge grin on my face. I think I even started giggling. What a glorious morning.
Anyway, catching up on some reading, and came across something interesting a writer at fivethirtyeight.com brought up (link). He's saying that after Edelman's go ahead score, the Patriots should have missed the extra point on purpose. This would give the Seahawks less incentive to go for a touchdown. If in field goal range, it gives them less incentive to go for it on 4th down, and more incentive to settle for a field goal if it got to that point.
I had never thought of that strategy before, ever. But it sounds like the type of thing Belichick would do, the kind of counter-intuitive ploy that he could make work. Intentional safety in 2003; Electing to kick off in overtime vs. Denver to get the favorable wind last season....that would've been along those same lines, would it not?
Awesome! I met Casillas's dad and some of his other family the day before the game at the casino near where the Pats were staying. He was the older guy with the purple king/queen hat thingy in the video Nice people!
