Re: F. The jests!!!!!!!!!

The Jets suck, and I'm thrilled that they lost, but props to Ryan for not pretending the loss didn't piss him off. That's one of the most natural reactions to a big loss that we'll get to see in this era of coaches who train in P.R. as part of their jobs.

yes - he showed all the kids how to be a good sport. i am sure the nfl shield loves promoting a sore loser.

Re: F. The jests!!!!!!!!!

This was my favorite scene of the whole day. I never saw a head coach react like that after a defeat. Come on, Rex, take your loss like a man.

LOLOL... no, that is the genius, the genius I say, of Rex Ryan. Showing his emotion will motivate his players even more. I bet they shave an average of 2 strokes off their scorecards next week

You must be kidding. It's either that, or you've never engaged in a competitive activity in your entire life.

So what? Does slamming his hat (which has the team logo on it) and headset to the ground make him more "honest" or something? You can rant and moan and cry in private, but a professional secure in his convictions loses with class and grace. Wrecks reacted like a child. I'm sure papa Buddy saw many displays like that during Jabba's formative years.

The last time I saw a head coach look THAT dejected after a loss was when the Packers lost SB 32 to the Broncos. When Holmgren was walking over to shake hands with Shanahan, I swear he looked like he was on the verge of tears. Tonight Rexy looked like that, except worse.

Serves the fata$$ right.

Rex to go back to his day job:

Re: F. The jests!!!!!!!!!

This was a tough one for me. Both my parents are 71, and huge Jets fans. My mom didn't get into football till like 1972, so I feel bad for her. She always roots for the Pats when they were in Super Bowls, and felt terrible for me in 2007. BUT, Rex Ryan, Cromartie and Bart Scott have made me hate the Jets so much, and the wound is still so fresh from last week, I couldn't find myself rooting for the Jets. I couldn't take another week of local media ballwashing, since I live in NY. Am I a terrible son ?
Hopefully your parents will live to be 171 so they may have a chance at seeing a Jet SB

Outstanding LOL... wishing good health and bad football in a single breath. My hat is off to you, Mr. Johnson.

As draft season now approaches, let us not forget the awesome job the JEST did with their first-round pick in 2008.

3 seasons, 42 games played, 5 starts, 42 tackles, 0 FF, 0 sacks, 0 INTs.

Vernon Gholston.

3 seasons, 45 games played, 26 starts, 182 tackles, 1 FF, 4.5 sacks, 2 INTs, 1 TD

UDFA Gary Guyton. :singing:

1 season, 13 games played, 0 starts, 23 tackles, 1 FF, 2 sacks, 1 INT

UDFA Dane Fletcher. :singing:

After the game last Sunday, I told a crying Jets fan at Heinz that it was OK and familiar beause after all, it was the "SAME OLD JETS."

He didn't like that.

Yes, Jets SUCK.

You made the right choice to go. Props for helping the Green Beans fans with much-needed perspective.

Dude was crying?! I love the Pats and all, but I have never shed a tear over them. Sounds like he needs to find something more important to worry about.

Some good news for the Jets.

Vibram has signed up Rex Ryan as a sponsor for their new footwear line.
Ryan is said to be very enthusiastic about the product, requesting a pair for
each member of his team, and personally loading them all in the back of his SUV saying,
"Hey, I'll be right back, in err, a little while,
I am going to err,go hand these to all the players"

Dude was talking smack for the entire game. Way out there. At the end, after the 3rd and 6 conversion, he just put his face in his hands and kept it there for a long time. I didn't see actual tears but I did see some heaving shoulders.

I have never cried over a Pats (or Sox, Cs or Bs) game. But then again, I don't root for a team as pathetic as the New York Jets.

Thank heavens.

A joke is a very serious thing.

Churchill, after being told, "Sir, You are drunk"
"I may be drunk, Miss, but in the morning I will be sober and you will still be ugly."

To which the lady responded, "Yes, but tomorrow I am seeing a dermatologist about improving the condition of my skin, and I will begin a low-fat, high-fiber diet, while you will still have the dreaded disease of alcoholism."

Sir Winston: "Ouch."

(Okay, I stole that from an issue of National Lampoon I read when I was a kid. )
