What's new in Jets-Suck-Land?

Nothing new. We're just into another phase of the familiar cycle. Having won the pre-season Superbowl, boasted and bullied their way through a series of games while ignoring contrary evidence, they are now starting into meltdown, which is the bit that the Jets fans (secretly) enjoy the most.

They're like those women you know who go from one disastrous relationship to the next. Oh yes, he's the one, everything they ever wanted, it's love, love, love -- excuse us, we've heard it all before. But soon enough they're on the next phase where they weep and moan and have their girlfriends tell them, yes, he really is a b*st*rd -- all that suffering and all of that attention!

True, there are some great Jets fans. I think that Gunnails and SundayJack look on their Jets fandom as a kind of inevitable affliction that they make the best of and I honour their steadfastness and good humour. But the rest of them -- a bunch of drama queens.
