My question is, isn't it spelled "hamper"??? So either they intended for it to be called the "Jets Hamper" but hilariously committed a typo, OR they are thinking the "Jets Hampur" is something else, but yet it still evokes the image of a dirty hamper.

It's really a no win situation, much like the entirety of the franchise's existence.

I'm not going to attempt to answer your question, as I'm in no position of authority to do so. (thank God). I've never heard of a "hampur" as it is spelled like that, so it could be something they came up with that escapes me. Then again, it could be they just spelled it wrong. To that, the only other thing I can say is that making fun of the moronic IQ level of Jets fans is like shooting fish in a barrel. It's just too easy.
