The 2012 season: the Jets [Mod Edit: STILL] suck

yes...you know...I KNOW you know...who sucks...Jets suck...simplicity ascribing the entire complex vortex of Jet degeneration...

meanwhile, in Florham Park, NJ this afternoon, Sanchez ,Tebow, Santonio, Tony Sparano, Mike Westhof and Cromartie were arrested on suspicion of running a dope ring after officers spotted the six men huddled in a circle...

Mike "I Saw Nothing" Westhoff. What a mangy old drunk that guy is.

This is our best cast sense Moss left IMO. I think Hill could be better then Moss was. People may not like Holmes but he is a viable starter. Miami has nothing. I'd be so bold as to say Chaz would be their #1. Buffs core is not better then ours. Stevie may be better then Holmes but Hill, Kerley, and Chaz are all better then their #2. I just don't buy Donald Jones, Smith, or David Nelson as much better then Chaz in any. I'd seriously take our WR over anyone else's in the East right now. Out side of a 30 Wes NE has nothing. Brandon Lloyd is a dim one trick pony and Gonzo hasn't proven a thing. I wouldn't take any of them for league min. Heck I'd take Miami's #3 over any of those guys. If not for their TEs Brady wouldn't have a whole lot to work with. I don't think this team has anything to complain about WR wise.

Comedy

Unproven and untalented are to different things. Cinci had an unproven WR core last year and look at the production they had. If we get that we ARE better then any of the other east teams. Holmes may not have lit up the board but I still think he can be a 1k yard WR and even in a bad year just put up 8 TDs. So saying he can't do what AJ did his rookie year I'd call down playing him. Why can't Hill light it up his 1st year? Rook WRs do it all the time. WR is an easy position to transition. If he starts all year I'll say 800 yards and 5 TD min. He has big play ability written all over him and our new OC will be calling those plays. Kerley I loved last year and lets not forget he started the year in the 4 spot and was meant to be the put returner not the starter. If he plays the spot all year he will be deadly on 4th downs. Now that we have Hill to stretch the field we can use Kerley more effectively inside with Keller. He may not put up monster #s this year but he will play an important role. Chaz as a #4 you really can't complain. I don't think we will be asking a lot of him but he is a good hands guy that has speed. If he can stay healthy I love him for depth.

I honestly love the mix we have at WR. Who's washed up or just crap WR would you take over this group in the East? I just don't think a whole lot of the rest of the East WRs. Lloyd, Ocho, Branch, Neson, Jones, Clyde Gates, Legedu Naanee... These are guys that shouldn't be making teams IMO. Quite honestly none of the east teams have real knock em dead WRs so I'd rather have the younger cast. At least we have hope they will produce and turn into long term studs. Not just a flashy one year patchs like Branch was in NE last year. I just don't buy an aged bust WR like Lloyd or an UDFA that had under 300 yards last year is a better option then Hill or Kerley for that matter. We have some good depth NFL proven or not.

Sorry if I like potential over proven below average WRs. If you really expect 30-35 year old WRs to produce in this league your HOPING more then we are. History shows WR is a young mans game. Lloyd is a bust and is old. It is a pretty accurate description. If he wins that #2 spot in NE they are just is sad shape IMO. Chaz is also what 25-26 and and has shown some good ability when healthy and playing. Miami's 1 is Bess a guy that started all last year and ranked up a whopping 537 yards and averages just over 10 yards per catch for his career with what 11 TDs. Chaz has 7TDs in one less year and averages 12.5 for his career. It is not like him being better then Bess is a stretch. As for as their #2 Naanee has been in the league for 5 years and only has 4 TDs and played in a much more potent O then Chaz. So yeah I'd say Chaz would be in the running to start on that team. Naanee was a huge disappointment in SD and that is fact. Miami best shot at a good WR may be B.J. Cunningham who was a 6th rounder with some good ability. That is still 6th round talent your talking which is sad for a team that had an obvious need. Also yeah some of them shouldn't be making teams. How many 33+ WRs do you see in the NFL much less ones that that have obviously lost their games or is some cases have just not performed. Don't tell me a guy that already looks unimpressive last year is better then any rook much less 1st round talent. Potential or not your still talking he can do better. I'd rather have the player with a higher up side given that reasoning. I'm not being homer at all on this. Realistically Miami, NE, and Buff are just in bad shape at WR and their future out look isn't better then ours right now. That is truth.

Is that middle quote serious? Those guys shouldn't be making teams? I mean.....what..

you can't make this stuff up..even if you tried

The way he kept going on and on about Chaz I literally had to stop and think about who he was talking about. I thought to myself 'I think Chaz Schilens signed with the Jets, but he has got to be talking about someone else, right? Somebody else they refer to as Chaz has to be the player getting all that Chaz love, right?'

No.

It was indeed Mr. 72 receptions for 902 yards and 7 TD in four years Chaz Schilens.

I know I can rightfully be accused of homerly optimism at times but .... wow.

I also got a laugh from someone there saying that "moss is a once in a life time player...."

Obviously referring to Randy Moss, right?

Wrong - since it's the Jets, it was Santana Moss.

:singing:

Yep, the same Santana Moss who in four years in NJ had (1) 1000-yard season, (1) season with more than five touchdowns, and averaged 604 yards receiving in green and white.

Maybe they still haven't gotten over watching Moss' following season when he was 2nd in the NFL in 2005 with 1483 yards receiving - for the Redskins.

It's been confirmed a million times over: You can't be a fan of that team with a perspective even remotely grounded in reality. Because if you were in touch with reality, you wouldn't be a fan of that team. Period. The Green Beans are like a magnet for the delusional, the degenerate, the confused and confounded.

Too funny Deus. I feel like Jets bandwagoners are a combination Brian Cohen pinned to the cross and Simple Jack stuck in the Golden Triangle chained to the mediocrity of jungle acting.

Ah Jets fans, our own little half-squats.

Wow, just wow....

Is that middle quote serious? Those guys shouldn't be making teams? I mean.....what..

He's serious. According to that poster, Brandon Lloyd, who's got over 2400 yards receiving in the past two seasons, shouldn't be making a team.

Current Jets receivers the past two seasons:

Rookies - 0 yards
Holmes - 1400 yards
Kerley - 317 yards
Schilens - 311 yards
Ganaway - 0 yards
Jackson - 0 yards
McKnight - 0 yards
Riley - 0 yards
Turner - 122 yards

Total - 2150 yards

Just some other comparisons, FTR:

Gaffney - 1822 yards
Branch - 1520 yards
The "Ocho" - 1107 yards (had 276 yards last year)

They have advanced to employing scientific analysis of their team.

Lloyd alone is better than almost all of the Jets WRs combined besides Holmes yet he shouldn't even be making NFL teams...

When it comes to football, with few exceptions, Jets fans really are that stupid. Also, JetsInsider is a worse site than Ganggreen, but comparing them is pretty much an "intellectual" edition of Jimmy versus Timmy.

No. 1: New England Patriots

Analysis: No debate here. New England has the best quarterback, the best receivers and the best tight ends in the AFC East. It's really not even close.

Without having checked yet, I can imagine the weeping and gnashing of teeth over on the Jets' boards, since the Bills are put above the Jets. That Dreamer clown must be apoplectic. :singing:
