This has an opening post with good commentary and information, which we definitely recommend reading.

Re: The 2011 season: The Jets Suck(merged)

Although I don't like posting in a generic Jets suck thread, I didn't think seems to be worthy of another thread.

The Jets have looked pretty mediocre tonight for the most part. Yes, it is preseason and it is raining, but they have not been spectacular on either side of the ball. They benefitted Andrew Dalton playing like crap early for two gift INTs, but overall once Dalton settled down the Jets defense allowed him to drive for a TD. Sanchez other than a one play drive and their current drive (he and Keller have developed a rhythm) has been inconsistent at best. LT looks done. Their o-line has not have been blocking well (Moore is out though).

NOTE: Sanchez did just hit an open Burress for a 26 yard TD on an all out blitz. It is under review though.
What I'm seeing is a pretty porous jest Oline (Ducasse is uniformly absent and should be allowed to start ) and a uniformly cut-rate and typical Bungles squad, though Dalton is showing some poise for a rook.
All in all, I'm struggling to stay awake.

The Jets will REXicute their opponents. They will TOEtally deFEET them. No ifs ands or FEET!

F-E-E-T FEET FEET FEET!

Other than their run defense, the Bugles have been pretty mediocre too. I think that has to do with theJets o-line and Tomlinson though. I am just not impressed with either team other than the last offensive drives by both teams.

Again, it is preseason, in the rain with both teams missing some starters.

The Jest fan perspective has been if the Pats do really well in a preseason game, don't take it seriously because its just preseason. You watch, if the Jests pull out a win tonight against the worst team in the NFL...they are locks for a SB title.

Their offense is going to be brutal this season. I say they go 9-7 at most.

Re: The 2011 season: The Jets Suck(merged)

^^^ 9-7 or 10-6

2nd in east yet again

Re: The 2011 season: The Jets Suck(merged)

... i was happy enough tonight ...

... my keys to the season are 1. health, 2. sanchez taking a step forward, 3. some pressure generated on d by the front 7, 4. can wilson step forward on #3 wr's ...

... seemed to come through healthy ... sanchez looked a touch better ... liked how how he put that ball to buress where he did with pressure up the guy in his face ... the kid front buff offered a glimmer of pressure on the qb against 2nd & 3rd stringers ... a baby step but better than nothing ... wilson seemed like he played better than last season ...

... certainly not proclaiming a superbowl after it ... but certainly am comfortable proclaiming a step in the right direction ...

Going forward, please write in complete sentences. Aside from that: what does this have to do with the Green Beans sucking?

Shocking

Pats look the greatest against teams like the Jags, but a dominating performance by the team, and an almost 200 yd performance by Sanchez, in a monsoon no less, is nothing to write home about.

Yeah, we didn't see this spin coming from a mile away.

You just refuse to give the Jets any kind of credit, anywhere.

For a game in the monsoon, there was plenty to take away from the game, starting with a pretty nice debut by Plaxico.

Bengals did nothing offensively except for 1 drive in the 2nd quarter, they were also without Pace and Scott at LB.

Average? C'mon, be objective for once...

Good joke, I fully expect that BB has circled these games on the schedule. He will run the score up on the Jets if possible. Pats fans want Rex on the sideline angrier than he was when the Texans beat the Jets in the preseason. It is going to be a fun year of football.

Horrible, why bother posting, you are as about as fair and objective as Peter King.

Re: The 2011 season: The Jets Suck(merged)

I watched most of the first quarter on NFL.com and I have to say outside of the short td drive ending with Sanchez to Holmes, both teams looked bad. Jets had a holding penalty and a negative run that ended one drive. The Bengals had two drives end with bad interceptions, one of which setup the short Jets TD. The interceptions are always good, but it was more about Dalton looking poor here.

Re: The 2011 season: The Jets Suck(merged)

The Bengals looked pretty bad to me. They are one of the frontrunners for the Andrew Luck Sweepstakes.

If you want fair and objective and a seat at the Super Bowl go find a Jets board.

Didn't see the game (it's on NFL tommorrow I think), Plaxico playing as good as Edwards is huge for the Jets. Sanchez isn't accurarate enough to consistly led scoring drives with short medium passes so you need a deep threat. The deep ball is the main thing I think Sanchez does well.

The Lions beat the Bungals 34-3 last week. They weren't good last year and lost Joseph, Palmer and both WRs they should be the worst team in the AFC.

The Giants game will give a better feel for how much Sanchez has improved, like I said it's the Begals.

Re: The 2011 season: The Jets Suck(merged)

I didn't see the Jets-Bengals game but apparently Sanchez didn't suck. He drove the team at the end of the half and threw a nice touchdown pass. Plax was impressive. The worst thing you can say is that a good team should be impressive against a bad team. So the Jets played, in that drive anyway, like a good team. They should be a team to worry about.....they still suck though

Welcome back to the board RayRay19. Good to have my personal stalker back on the board.

Sanchez and the offense was great on one drive and mediocre the rest of the night. He also had a 16 yard TD drive. And if you look at my post, I posted it midway through the Jets' starter's last drive.

The Jets defense looked better than they were because for most of his time, Dalton overthrew his wide open receivers all night. Even the two turnovers were because of Bengals mistakes. One was the Bengals' receiver who dropped the ball right into Eric Smith's lap and one where Dalton overthrew his target so bad that it looked like he was aiming for the Jets' defender. Otherwise, there was no pass rush from the starters and the coverage was far worse than it seemed because Dalton sucked so much.

I didn't watch the back ups.

BTW, I said that it was raining and both sides had starters out and that it is the preseason.

You are on the Jets board bragging how I was wrong about Maybin because he had a sack against the back ups.
