Crying LT is contemplating retirement.

Good, I hope he vanishes into total obscurity (sort of like the role he played this season).

I can't decide the funniest description of this year's JEST team... probably Boomer, who was a little politically incorrect and all... but just the very fact that in talking about Sanchez' leadership, a chihuahua came to mind...

I mean as long as it's not racist.

Ehh..... If Esiason had used Min Pin as an example, people would be calling him out for not using a chihuahua and ignoring Sanchez' heritage. It's just an attempt to blunt the message by discrediting the messenger.

Greetings,
I don't know why people figured this to be an elite team, especially as the season wore on. A lot of the "big names" on this roster where knowingly on the decline(Tomlinson, Scott, Burress, Pace, Mason etc.) or where never as good as they were advertised(Leonhard, Smith, Sanchez). What gets me is many people in the media still think the Jets still have a great defense, when anyone with two eyes could clearly see that this defense is not good anymore. Talk about living off of reputation.

Derrick Mason gets in on the act:

Derrick Mason speaks out. - Jets Insider.com Forums

There's more. Some good stuff to further piss of the JEST fans... :singing:

Another bonus from today: Green Beans fans wanted Josh McDaniels to replace Schottenheimer, who recently received a vote of confidence from both Wrecks and Tannenbum. Now, not only will McDaniels NOT go to New Jersey, he probably will come back to New England. :singing:

Absolutely.... Much like Brady tossing a dozen picks after his insane year of tossing only four, it's something that should be expected. That it's not something the Jets fans point out is an indictment on them, not on Schottenheimer or even Sanchez (since he's fumbling basically the same number of times each year). We all remember talking last season about how lucky the Jets had been with Sanchez picks getting dropped and fumbles getting recovered. Jets fans apparently don't have that long a memory.

I am okay with this explanation but last year Wrecks attributed his teams ridiculous luck in recovering their own fumbles to "more hustle than the other team". If he is stupid enough to actually believe that his Super Bowl prediction makes much more sense.

and then suddenly, all jets fans will say Mcdaniels sucks anyway. Totally ignoring that they said they wanted him.

congrats..your internship is done, Doctor...welcome to the staff of Jets Suck sanitarium

No one melts down like the Jets. This gets better by the day.

My favorite implication in all of this is that Wrecks and Tanny need to learn lessons about managing a pro football team that they should have learned years ago, and long before being given the responsibilities that they have.

Now Mr. Classy is contemplating retirement. What will the Jets do?!

EDIT - Whoops the link didn't copy right. There is an article on CBS Sports.com that says LaLadian is frustrated and has told all his coaches and anyone who will listen that he is thinking of retiring.

Nice. This is a juicy tidbit that makes me warm all over.

In the end, all the football talk in New York is about the Jets. And I say “in the end’’ because this is the end for Ryan.

No, he’s not going to be fired. But it’s the end, anyway. Ryan is never going to get this team to win the Super Bowl, never going to regain control.

The Jets finally have found a way to take over the town, but it was by becoming the Bronx Zoo.

How perfect that the analysis came from McElroy, a fourth-string QB. He once was a candidate to be a Rhodes scholar, and you can just imagine him standing there watching his team like a scientist watching mice. He is no dumb jock, which is exactly what Ryan is. McElroy’s words have a deeper truth. He is a bright bulb in a room of dim ones, led by the head coach.

LaLadian...awesome...I always listen when a woman judges a "man" and sees femininity.

I like how he put it out there that he's "contemplating" retirement. Gotta milk that drama.

Rex Ryan: 'Mark Sanchez Was Absolutely Our Quarterback This Year' | The Onion Sports Network

, head coach Rex Ryan vociferously defended Sanchez Thursday, confirming the former first-round pick was "absolutely" the team’s starter during the 2011-2012 season.

"I know it’s your guys' job to generate controversy, but I'm only going to say this once: Mark Sanchez was our quarterback this past season, and he will continue to be our quarterback this past season," said Ryan, who repeatedly called Sanchez "my guy last year."

"I'm not going to stand here and listen to people ask if I am going to stick with Sanchez all last season, because I am. End of story." When asked if the Jets planned to acquire quarterback Peyton Manning in the offseason, Ryan said, "How many times do I have to tell you? Mark Sanchez is the heart and soul of the 2011-2012 Jets."

Gotta give rex some credit, he got his jets to the postseason for the 3rd straight year. I don't know what the ad was for but hopefully they bought time for the SB.

The Jets Suck . . . that is all.

Someone spotted Sanraper down in 'Nawlins before the game tonight...

As i watched Drew Brees pocket presence i remember this blast from the past. Its a clasic so i thought i'd bring it back. Could Lil' Marky be the next Drew Brees.

Can Mark Sanchez become Drew Brees? - Page 3 - Jets Insider.com Forums

Brees was fantastic last night. Sanchez is the same size, with similar athletic ability, and even a similar throwing motion. Brees was shaky enough in his third season that the Chargers drafted Eli Manning/Phillip Rivers. Rivers held out before Brees's fourth season and then Brees started playing like he does now. He obviously is more accurate than Mark is and has more poise in the pocket but that comes with experience. I think Mark can become this type of QB, but being patient is not easy.
