Do jets fans even watch actual football?

OK...start off saying nothing but respect for the Pats...BB, Brady etc...and honestly Jets fans are more intimidated by the Pats due to all the winning and success recently and mostly Brady and BB

However...can someone on this site tell me why in the world the Jets coaches, players, FO, trainer, equipment guy etc would be at all intimidated or "worried" about the Pats?

All most of these players know is some success vs New England...(Rex, Sanchez, etc...)

If you're a boxer and have beaten a guy 3 out of 5 times..why would you be worried? Yea the Pats beat them 45-3 and embarrassed them but the Jets have beaten up on NE ie..1st game 2nd half last year...and in the playoffs..where any fan could see the Jets out physicalled, out coached and out played the Pats...yes the Pats will be good prob 12-4 good...but why worry??

The Jets shouldn't be intimidated. They've shown that they can compete with the Patriots. On the other hand, the Jets also know that they Patriots are better than they are, and that they have to play an excellent game to have any real chance.

It's a fun dichotomy to deal with as an athlete.

10+ Pats threads on the first page of JI right now.

LOSERS

The Pats got spanked by the Lions? Seriously? I know it's only preseason, but if that's the case you guys have more to worry about than the JETS! LOL! GO JETTIES!

And you came over for this? Pathetic waste of time. Try again with something more insultfull. Your letting your fellow J-E-S-T homers down.

Remember that the Jest Super Bowl is in August. They win it every year. This is their time to shine baby!

It's hard to take a team and it's fanbase serious that doesn't have a home/stadium.

The meadowlands is the giants home and the jets just sleep on the couch

The jets are homeless.

I hope New England can even be competitive with the Jets any more considering they got humiliated by the LIONS

Jets lost to the Texans, the league's softest team

But they smacked the Bengals around, which is no mean feat. Those guys are ******* awesome.

There is an inferiority complex emanating from The NJ Jets, from years of looking up. Rotund Rex uses boisterous machismo in an attempt to validate his obsession. Can you deny that? Big Mouth is constantly belching about the Patriots. Challenging the league to defeat the Patriots? If it were Belichick begging the league to defeat the NJ Jets, I'd probably vomit in my mouth a little bit.

When the NJ Jets can consistently win the division, maybe that complex will diminish.
But I doubt it. As it stands, the NJ Jets have taken a step back at WR, yet the consensus is that your QB will make huge strides this season. I'd have serious reservations regarding the durability of Mason and Pistol Pete.

The NJ Jets have been on the outside looking in for some time, excepting a Brady-less Patriots season a few years back (although the Patriots did post a commendable season record in spite of that).

The NJ Jets' only hope to make the playoffs, perennially, has been as a wild-card. That's why they're so nervous.

Very good points. Of course, any reasonable Jet fan would be a bit nervous, after all those years of "looking up" as you put it. We want our team to continue to build on the past couple of seasons, win the division, beat your team twice, establish some dominance over the Giants as the top team in New York. But with this team's history you're almost like waiting for disaster to strike again. I am pretty confident, but I agree Rex is too loud mouthed. We will see what happens. I like to see the conversations rise above the level of "Jets Suck - Pats Suck."
