Brady has started 7 Super Bowls. Only 3 other active QBs have more than 1: Roethlisberger (3), Wilson (2), Eli (2).

And even if you argue that without Brady, other AFC QBs would have more SB starts, you sure can't say that about the NFC, where not a single active QB has started 3 (or more) SBs.

The NFC is the bastion of parity we would see in the AFC if it weren't for Tom Brady. They have 9 different teams in the past 11 Super Bowls. Yeesh.

Tom Brady has played in 6 consecutive conference championships. The only QB to start more in their entire career is Joe Montana, with 7.

I'm pretty sure that Mike reads Patsfans.com (and, if he doesn't, our friend, @Miguel can pass things on).

This is just the BEST thing possible for Tom Brady's 40th birthday. Mike has been covering the Patriots for a long time (did he or Brady start first?) and he's called in all of his credits for this one: stories and memories about Tom from the full range of people who have been involved with him. Great individually, and a wonderful tribute when put together.

There's only one thing missing. Mike doesn't have a memory of his own in there. Which tells you about why he's such a fine reporter, doesn't it?

One thing people fail to realize is that Manning doesn't get to bring guys like Harrison, Wayne, Thomas, & Decker with him to New England. The big stats that Manning apologists bring to the table would most certainly take a hit if he had Bill as his GM

Yea I'll say it again. The league changed rules specifically to help Peyton and the Colts win. He was the golden boy. And again. Take the Pats out of the equation. They never existed. Peyton would have 5 at least. It's not exactly rocket science or in need of a phd to figure this one out.

*** and this is coming from someone who loathes Manning and his brother. That's how real I consider the possibility of this happening IF BB and TB weren't around.

If Brady/Belichick weren't around it doesn't mean Manning has 5 rings. The Chargers had a great team in the mid '00's. The Steelers were very good. Ravens had a great D.

Rams would have won in '01. Hawks in '14. Falcons last year. No guarantee at all Manning has anymore rings then he already does.
