Again, you're making the point for the lawsuit. That's why they seek to put in place clear criteria to bring transparency to the process. You're basically saying there shouldn't be any criteria, it's whomever the owner wants. They are almost always white dudes, many times less qualified than other candidates.I am not contradicting myself at all.
The determination of who is best qualified is in the hands of the person making the decision.
There are numerous criteria that at some level contribute to that decision including:
-Experience and track record
-knowledge and intelligence
-ability to communicate vision
-leadership skills
-schematic knowledge
-ability to bring in assistants
-ability to evaluate players
-commitment
-goals
-plan you formulate for the path to success for the franchise
-fit with the make up of the roster
-fit with the stage of development of the team
-salary demands
-ability to work with management
Just to name a few
There is no one most qualified in every way. So the idea that you can determine who is most qualified for a particular job is beyond ridiculous.
There are several studies that have addressed these issues but you're only interested in peddling your uneducated lazy takes of whites being under attack.
