I would ask for the eagles pick and their 2018 first round pick. It's alot but they have tons of picks this year.
I'd keep him before trading him for that. Minimum I would take would be #2 this year, #2 next year and #3 either this year or next. There is an absolute zero percent chance of that happening. As of right now I see the Patriots getting the Browns 2nd round pick, because its the first pick in the 2nd round and maybe a 4th/5th rounder for him.
I can see Jimmy being traded if the Pats are desperate and have needs but we have the best record in the league and will still be good for awhile, so I'd hold on to him.

It really depends if they have multiple teams bidding on him. I would take the 33rd pick and a 3rd rounder for Jimmy at minimum.
Shef is reporting that the source would be stunned.
Not sure why this is newsworthy
BB has to answer those questions, and more, to his best satisfaction. Once that's done, he'll be able to decide what to do about JAG.
- How long will Brady play
- How good is JAG going to be
- How good is Brissett going to be
- Can we get JAG to stick around for an extra year or two, without kicking in the big bucks
- What can we get for JAG
- What can we get for Brady
- What's the best Christmas movie of all time

Not me, there's a lot of value in keeping him another year if good offers aren't there. I'm all for trading him for good value but not dumping him just for the sake of it. Actually Game of Thrones is my safe place. Madam Secretary is where I go to watch how the department of state SHOULD work.Ken,
Please step away from the radio for your own mental health.
Use Madam Secretary as your safe space for the next 4, maybe 8 years.
Happy Holidays!

I am willing to keep him another year and lose the draft pic at that point. If he is really that good, and Brady goes down during next season, we will be glad we kept him. Brady will only lose the job to Jimmy because of injury, no other reason.Adam Schefter: Person close to team would be ‘stunned’ if Patriots traded Jimmy Garoppolo
Given the weak QB class in the 2017 draft (and Brady showing no sign of decline) I'd be very surprised if the Pats didn't deal Garoppolo.
But as I've said in the past... Garoppolo is a solid talent and Brady's decline might come sooner than we realize. In which case, keeping Jimmy for another season on the final year of his rookie contract, could make sense from an insurance perspective.
Hard to imagine Brady slowing down.....but you never know
for 2 firsts they will trade him.Since all personnel decision are BB's, anyone who would have real knowledge over this matter is someone close to him. And I highly doubt BB would confide his plans to anybody, specially because no one can demand to know about this sort of thing in New England
This information is very useless, IMO. If someone had asked BB about Garoppolo's status, I bet he would never answer "yeah, we are looking to trade him". That doesn't match BB's personality and is a terrible business strategy, since it would most likely drive the price down.
It is obvious that Garoppolo is in the market for a trade. As it is obvious that we are not going to trade him for anything at all.
why in the world would he sign here and extend this off season unless Brady was done...He might even get extended here this offseason, and yea I'm not surpised they are not trading him, I mean with Brady being 40 next year say if Brady were to miss a few games or two who would you feel more comfortable holding it down in the mean time Jimmy or Jacoby? Obviously Jimmy considering how he played before he got hurt especially doing what he did without Gronk now imagine if he had him, the Arizona game would not have been as close and the Miami blowout would been bigger
