RUMOR: Revis "to hit the market?"

So this was the time last night McCourty's deal was announced. Just saying

If i wake up tomorrow at 9..and still no deal for Revis...then i will be a lot more worried

If the Jets are offering 20 million than yes, the Pats are screwed and this won't get done. But if Revis is just trying to get 16 mil then just pay the man.

All i know is that clock can't hit 4 tomorrow with no deal

What happens if that extra 1 or 2 million per severely restricts the Patriots' ability to keep Hightower and Collins?

I'm comfortable paying Revis a smidgeon more than Sherman for the ego factor. 15 maybe but 16 no. I'm not sure I consider that good value in the long run and despite the rising cap, is a significant amount to invest in a player not named Tom Brady.

I hope the Patriots keep Revis but we should consider the mid-term effects of giving Revis a mega deal.

If 1 or 2 million on a HOF player severely restricts out ability to keep two players who aren't going to be FAs until 2017 then we really really screwed something up.

We keep him and this D will be legit once again and very well could repeat...he rather want $$ then win...we will be in a bind

Don't get me wrong, I want the Patriots to keep Revis. He proved to me his generational talent in 2014 and during the playoffs. What I don't want is the Patriots to hamstring themselves bidding against the Jets. In coming seasons, the Patriots have a number of young, potentially equally important players coming up for contract extensions. That's why these things are never as simple as idiots like LaClassian make out on NFL Network.

It's possible he just wants to be a Jet. I think the money will be good enough in both places that it won't be the determining factor.

I think he wants to be a Jet.
I think he wants to continue winning.

I think he doesn't know which one he wants more but will have to decide. But don't act like this ball is in the Patriots' court, it isn't.

I also want Revis back but if it doesn't work out, I still think the Pats are solid contenders for a repeat.

Revis nice knowin ya, was fun while it lasted. $$$$$$ talks I guess

What attachment does he even have to the Jets? Rex is gone, all his teammates are gone, and the team sucks now. It's not exactly the prodigal son returning.
