Report: Vollmer headed to IR

I think I'm the only person on this board who thinks Cannon can play a solid RT.

With what he did healthy last year and in 2013 plus with Scar coaching him, I think he'll be a pleasant surprise this year to all.

I think Googs really f-ed him up.
No, you're not the only one. I think it's possible he can, also. I don't think it's a slam dunk, but I think it's possible. Hey, his play for sure has been disappointing, but I also think to some degree he's been a scapegoat/whipping boy. As far as DiGuglielmo screwing him up, I don't know. Maybe he didn't help, but I'm guessing Cannon also bears a load of responsibility for his sub-par play. But, I agree that he's not a lost cause - I hope!

I'm thinking the same thing. Cannon worries me. Solder can be a turnstile at times too. Come on Scar, do ur thang!

I'm weirdly confident in Solder, provided he stays healthy. He was a better player under Scar, so I'm optimistic that he'll be better than he was last year.

I feel like we are going to get some real surprising cuts this year.
Let me start
Bolden
Dobson
Gaffney
Develin
Coleman
Kuhn
Freeny
Harper
Lucien
Carter

These are some of my predictions thoughts

I think Bolden makes the roster.

Vollmer on IR would indeed be strange. They would have to keep him on 53 first if they wanted him back this season therefore losing valuable spot/risking one more guy through waivers.

PUP or cut seem to be the only options

I remember some idiot said something about needing to draft a tackle because of Vollmer and Solder's mounting injury histories. Once big men start getting those kinds of injuries, they're just going to keep on happening.

1st round pick in 2017 will no doubt be an OT now

One of the bigger needs on this team no question..still the same with WR. As Jules and Dola are getting older and neither i am afraid will ever play a full 16 game season

Moving him to G at the start of 2014 TC w/o any prep was a major miscalculation. Googs clearly was not a hands on guy whereas Scar is.

I wonder if Vollmer is near the end of his career, he's had numerous injuries over the years. Might be wise for him to start thinking about how his body is going to feel 10-20 years from now.

Maybe the Pats can trade for 49ers RT Anthony Davis! He doesn't want to be there!
AD to the Patriots confirmed
