Report: Patriots willing to listen to offers

Why would they trade the players who have any value and who are young? The whole point of rebuilding is to bring in good young players. Trading Barmore or Dugger etc. is going to set you back, not get you ahead. Look at the track record for 2nd thru 4th rounders drafted in the NFL. Less than 1/3rd of these guys become as good as the players we're thinking of trading. Pro Bowlers are few and far between.

Look at the 2nd rounders drafted after Barmore in the 2021 draft: https://www.espn.com/nfl/draft/rounds/_/round/2/season/2021

I see Asante Samuel, Creed Humphrey, a couple others and not much else.

None of them are among the almost 90 Pro Bowlers from last year.

They should definitely listen to offers on everyone. I’d personally keep Gonzalez. But the others - while some would surely help - I don’t see as foundational pieces that are difference makers.

I also read the Pats are bluffing and will reject offers. Very weird ****.

It’s not about what makes sense. This board could make an incredible psychological case study.
Fans observed great success and felt they were somehow responsible for it because they chose to like this team. They bragged about being a patriot fan s d being better than the fans of other teams. They LOVED the Patriots, the Patriot way, they were above mortal fans.
The inevitable happened and they are crushed because sonething they had nothing to do with was the rate success in their life.
So now that they no longer have that they get angry and lash out at whatever they can. The man who built that item they took so much pride in now is a a pariah who must be harshly punished. All the players have to go because we need to get something, anything that might be better.
It’s abysmal

I would keep Barmore, Duggar, Peppers, the Joneses, Judon, Gonzo, White, and Mapu. This is not a bad team with a functioning QB.

Remember when posters wanted to keep JC Jackson? I was not one of those guys.

Are teams ever not "willing to listen to offers". I mean on the 2014 super bowl team if some idiot GM was willing to give up a 2nd and 3rd round pick for let's say Kyle Arrington, anyone think the pats would not be interested?

“Mac Jones: no trade value”

Ouch

Whether or not they think the offers will make sense is a completely separate question, but of course they'll listen.

I believe they would be willing to part with players like mills, Philips or just guys tahr are on expediting deals. Totally agree our young guys have to be kept to continue to be part of what the future holds. Barmore is finally playing up to his potential. We have previously drafted players finally showing up like Jennings.

Ouch
Then no trade with that team. Lol

Like I said before Lance got a 4th rounder back and what has he done in the league? Mac ought to get at least that if not more in return especially if he keeps playing like he did yesterday.

I agree 100%. Belichick has been willing to "listen to offers" every year for the past 25 years now.
