And that's the year the Steelers were the unanimous pick by the ESPN "experts" to beat the Pats in week 1 opening Gillette Stadium.

It’s also 1997 all over again. Pats got a break with Denver losing in the divisional round who wouldn’t obliterated them again if met in the AFCCG.

Agree the media didn’t like the Pats beating Pittsburgh in 2001. Raiders became a media favorite as well.

They got another break (pun intended) with Hix’s injury. Denver would’ve scored enough early to put the game away before the snowstorm. Most pundits have the Pats as a divisional round team at best.
