PATRIOTS TRAINING CAMP 2026 Patriots Training Camp - Day 14

I understand the desirability or the need for depth players to play STs but running with ball is not one of his strengths. Looks like his WR skills may be sufficient to make the roster, but after losing Gibson KR is a rare hole on the roster.
Sounds like Williams showed some promise in his first KR today. And IIRC wasn’t Larison showing promise as KR last pre-season?

I expect both will compete. Williams had a few moments and he is at the end of a strong WR group so could put himself on the game day roster as KR. A position to watch.

6'6 245.
Kittle was 6'4 247 at the combine.
Kittle has been the best blocking TE of anyone who can actually be a receiving threat since Gronk.
Raridon can most certainly develop into a good blocker.
Interesting note from Kittle's draft profile:
"lacks desired size for in-line blocking, but has the technique and willingness to do it".
Raridon:
"He blocks with solid technique and good tenacity but still needs to add muscle"

I'm gonna say he develops into a serviceable blocker.

Time will tell.
That's actually a big difference in size.
Kittle is considerably bigger and stronger.
For each inch of height you need to add 7lbs to be comparable. So Raridon would have to weigh 261 to be comparable to Kittle's size.
He weighs 245. That's a 16lb difference which is huge. Raridon needs his speed and quickness so doubt if he ever puts on 16lbs w/o losing some. But he could add 5lbs a year for 2 years and get to around 255 max by 2028. You probably don't want to get any bigger than that to avoid losing quickness.
And not just weight. It obviously needs to be muscle only and in the right places.
But let's be real: Kittle will go down as one of the alltime great tes and a great blocker.
If Raridon could end up being just slightly above average as a blocker, that's huge.
Because we know hes got receiving skills

I understand what you're saying, but weight is weight if you you can use it effectively.
Kittle is not big for a TE by any stretch, but he obv uses his weight incredibly effectively.
Raridon can develop his blocking if he really puts in the effort.
I have seen Kittle in person close up.
Was in Nashville 2 Aprils ago and he was there with his wife and a few others, he was literally feet from me.
He is not some bulcked up muscle head. Raridon actually looks more jacked.
Not saying Kittle isn't strong, I'm sure he is, but Raridon has the build to easily add 10 lbs.

please explain the source and justification for this statement. Why is it not 5 pounds? Or 10? Or 2?
