Id take Harrison for the 2018 season. The fire has not burnt out for the man! Patriots player? Almost 40+? Fire still burning? Sound familiar?
Resign the beast. Vet mininum though!
Nah, I'm being serious. Harrison will be 40 next season and probably has little options at this point of his career to find a team and especially one that wil. pay handsomely. If he truly wants to play, he might have to accept lower pay.
We should start as many top contributors as we can at vet minimum.
Now, back to reality.

Harrison was playing for the vet minimum or slightly above for his last three seasons with the Steelers. In 2016, it was $1.25M salary and $250k signing bonus. In 2017, he signed with the Pats for a non-guaranteed $1M and received 1/17th of that ($58,832), plus his playoff checks.
The vet minimum for 2018 is $1,015,000, so not outside the realm of possibility if it's boosted with a $250k signing bonus.
The limit on a vet minimum bonus contract is $80K.
He'd be a great bargain for us at that rate, since the cap hit would be $710K.
