Absolutely. Even with average run blocking , it would be a nightmare for defenses trying to tackle rham and harris 30-35 times a game in freezing temps. Hopefully we could at least get that at some point.

Control the clock and keep the ball. I believe that we will see more run plays as the playoffs come into focus. The Giants held the 2007 #1 offense Pats to 14 points in the Super Bowl. Brady had 50 TDs that year. The 2001 # offense Rams were 14 points Vegas favorites to roll over NE.

Half those yards came on 1 play in the 1st quarter. Also Dugger had a INT guarding a TE in that one

The Pats running game is the least of my concerns and the strength of the offense.

The OL must be run blocking somebody because Stevenson has averaged 4.5 YPC and Harris 4.6 YPC. Harris is hitting the hole faster than every NFL RB except AJ Dillion. Just imagine what would happen of the Pats OL actually blocked for these RBs? 10 YPC would not be out of the question. Good thing we got Mac to win these games for us.

Stevenson and Harris have shown no signs of slowing down and the Pats have not burned them out with a high carry totals like the Titans do with Derrick Henry. The Pats switch to the SF style zone run blocking is paying off.

BTW, on the play I showed here, it looks like the Jets knew where the play was going and they ended up taking themselves out of the play because of it because even the defenders on the far right looked to see it to be an inside rush and didn't even try to run upfield.

Cajuste is blocking inside because the guy he is blocking is running inside. Cajuste is doing nothing to drive the defender inside and he first tries to block him to the outside and loses him. In fact, watch the left arm of Cajuste. Looks like he is holding him from rushing inside which he wouldn't be doing if he is trying to push him inside to give Harris a clear path outside of him. In fact, around the 11 second mark of the second video, the Cajuste is actually behind the defender holding him from going to the inside spot where Harris was originally supposed to run to.

Cajuste is just a horrible blocker than his screw up actually helped the play. If he blocked his defender correctly, Harris might have only had a short gain. He was also lucky he didn't get a holding call on that play.

And yes, RBs run into walls of defenders all the time throughout the league.

If you look close enough at the videos, you can clearly see that the play was designed for Harris to run inside to the left and then bounced outside and made the play on his own.

wise 38 pressures 6.5 sacks
pace: 64 pressures 11 sacks

chandler jones’ best year with the pats: 66 pressures 11.5 sacks (2013)

wise also has 3 batted balls & jones’ high with the pats was 3. He’s been their best RDE since jones & it isn’t close.

Yep, and even with a loss, as long as they play clean, make the Vikings earn every point and actually score a couple of TDs on offense, then this could be like 2014 at GB: a close, out-of-conference loss that shows us what they are capable of becoming...

Most of the time when the going is good…they both have success. Even if one is struggling due to scheme or running style…the other runs well.

If they want to spread out and test Bryant with KJ Osborn and his 8.8 yards per catch, or Jalen Reagor and his 4 catches in 10 games, instead of throwing to Jefferson, Thielen, Hockenson, or Cook? I say go for it. They're not moving the ball consistently picking on guys that aren't covering their top receivers.

That's what people said last year about Buffalo playing us in the 2nd and 3rd games. Buffalo used Gabe Davis and Isaiah McKenzie to destroy us.

Going by the playoff predictor site I use, the Pats could still stay in a playoff spot with a loss as long as the Jets also lose. Even if the Chargers win, they can't pass us this week.

We can move up to the 5 with a win and a Bills loss (unlikely).

Yes. Because of the Jets game where he only got 1.75 YPC. The Same Jets that have a top 10 Run Defense.

Rham's avg was 4.0 prior to the Jets Game. You know, the game where we lost Wynn and Andrews early in the game.
