Damn…too bad our QB is immobile & can’t love to save his life smdh…

That is the problem with aggressive defenses, you can use their over-aggression against them. Plus, they are a primarily man defense which means most of the LBs and secondary personnel will have their backs to the line of scrimmage once the play starts. Hence once the QB gets past the rushers, there should be a good 5-10 yard cushion to run. I am sure they will try to use a LB to spy on Maye, but they can't every play because the Pats have too many weapons even if none of them are elite.

I have faith in McDaniels. He always found ways to use aggressive defenses aggression against them with Brady. I am sure he will do the same with Maye.

Apple forecast: Just above freezing, so sounds like snow will just turn to cold mush. And chance of rain varies dramatically for some reason right during game time : Ping pongs between 40% and 0 twice.

Would be better 4-5 degrees colder. Drake seemed to sail a few throws with wet balls.

Here rain chart

Although the Texans are a dome team living in a tropical environment, I am a little concerned about snow. Stroud played for Ohio State. He is no stranger to harsh weather conditions. We haven't seen Maye really tested in really harsh weather. Concerned that he did struggle in rain in a game or two during the season.

Landry unfortunately looks hampered by a bum knee. Edge is where I would attack this defense. But every team has weaknesses and this isn’t going to slow us down Sunday.

I'm embarrassed I thought he played LT for them but I guess that shows that I only really look at the screen when the Texans defense is on the field lol.
It's all good. You might have watched the game that Ersery missed. that's why I didn't make a derogatory comment about it.

Anyways, with Brown returning to practice today, it will be interesting to watch and see how he holds up during the game. Brown not being able to hold would have the 2-fold effect of removing Fisher from their Jumbo packages as well.

Marks looks like a problem. Chubb also looks like he's on the way back. Controlling their running attack is as important as any aspect of this game, cause they won't score if they can't run.

I don't know that Marks will be that big of a problem.. He's averaged 3.86 YPC on the season.. The 19 carries for 112 yards is an aberration.

Chubb's 4.1YC is still significantly below his career average. The only reason Chubb's average looks as good as it does is because of the game against the Raiders, the game against Tennessee and the Weird game against Jacksonville where he was at 9.7ypc..

I personally wouldn't be shocked if Collins doesn't play again until next season even if the Texans go to the Super Bowl. Two concussions within a few months of each other and this last one looked significant.
Yeah, when it comes to this stuff a players health needs to be paramount., The exact same can be said for Gonzalez. Health is priority #1. On the surface, and I did not stay at a Holiday Inn last night, his situation does not seem as serious...

Also, a homecoming for Matt B.

agreed.

If it was ONE "egregious call", we wouldn't be talking about it. It was NUMEROUS pivotal calls through the entire 2nd half what was responsible for GIVING 3 TDs to the Bills. Downplaying it or pretending that it didn't completely change the game is ridiculous. Especially when numerous KNOWLEDGEABLE fans who don't typically say anything about it were taking issue with it. How many times has Vrabel called out the officiating during his 7 years as a coach? Because he called them out after the Bills game..
That one game I agree with you 100%.
There were 3 calls that I remember that were historically awful.
So yes, if that were to happen I would be livid and it could swing the game.
In general tho, I would say all teams get screwed by bad calls equally (Chiefs of recent years before this season are the exception to the rule). That's all I would ask for is fair, equal officiating as there will always be missed calls.
Funny thing, there are Bills fans on their forum that said we didn't beat them in the first game. They beat themselves with turnovers and the help of the refs. Talk about delusional.

The thing is with Gonzalez, he was fine immediately after the play. He didn't even go into the blue tent until after the drive was over and he was sitting on the bench and was informed the doctors flagged him for the protocol. My guess is if he didn't grab his head immediately after the play, he would never had even gone into concussion protocol.

Gonna be a dogfight, could be our toughest opponent yet this year. Their defense is a problem. Ive got faith in our guys though and believe we’re the more complete team. Hc/qb edge also firmly in our favor.

Cant afford to lose the turnover battle this week
Feels like we could have said this about Cleveland, bucs good defenses this season as well. We overcame 6 sacks from Myles Garrett to blow out Cleveland.. who was regarded as a dam good defense. Basically a game where I expect Drake to get rid of it quickly.

Honestly, the Patriots could simplify their looks and be just as effective.
Houston runs a high school offense, Stroud only has half-field reads, and was still running for his life.
Agreed. Also people forgot the game against Pitt was a dogfight until Rodgers decided to retire in game in the 4th quarter. Houston offense did nothing up to that point.
