That was more than likely something the coaching staff told him to do.

Remember 2006? They literally hid Gostkowski from the media the entire week before the Colts game.

Big win, with plenty of good play, and plenty of mistakes for BB to use as inspiration for hard work during the week. Just a couple of quick things:

  1. People saying that Baltimore was only in the game because of ST play seem to be ignoring the fact that it was Patriots ST play that was instrumental in getting out to that big lead.
  2. The defense didn't play "bend but don't break" this game, and it was much better off for it.
  3. With Mason's hand being better, his improvement is noticeable and difference making.
  4. Edelman's really got to cut down on the drops. Having said that...
  5. Hogan, Mitchell and Bennett all deserve attaboys for their hands.
  6. White's really blossoming over the course of this season. Having him run by the goal line is still not the call I'd have made there, though.
  7. Eric Rowe, please get well soon.
  8. Dear God, please keep Malcolm Butler healthy.

Been impressed with this offensive line. Big test on sunday on the road. Hope they can deliver. Concerned about a dirty hits from a dirty team.

Weird thing that I hadn't realized but briskets td run against the Texans is the only non Blount rushing Td on the season

Steelers offense against our secondary match up without too many problems.
I'm still holding out hope that they get in as a WC rather than the division winner. In order for that to happen, BAL has to win this weekend and then beat them on Xmas night, which would then give them the tiebreaker advantage once again.

I agree with you about preferring to avoid a matchup with LeVeon Bell, Antonio Brown, and a capable QB in Roethlisberger.

Wouldn't they be the 3rd seed? They likely might face denver or a team like the dolphins if they get in. If we get the number 1 seed than we might not likely see them until the afc championship game. I rather we face the texans or oakland in the second round.

James White has over 50 catches now on the season. By the time it is all said and done I wouldn't be surprised if he has 60, which might be the most by a Pats RB in the Brady/Belichick era?

Could be wrong but I don't recall Faulk, Woodhead or Vereen having that many.

Does anyone know if Blount posed with the minutemen after his td?

If we end up as the #1 and they end up winning the division, yes--they'll likely be the #3 seed and the two teams wouldn't meet until the second game (AFCCG). I don't think anyone really expected to face them in the divisional round unless the Ravens storm back to win the division and the Steelers get in as a WC.

They could end up with a fairly easy game as a #5 seed since they'd draw the winner of the South, so it probably doesn't matter too much.

This defense is starting to remind me of the 2003-2004 teams with the constantly changing looks of the defensive front. Opposing teams have no idea who's rushing and who isn't and we have some versatile guys who can both rush and drop into coverage. I like the way it is evolving. Took some frustration and odd moves to get here but it really seems to be coming together and at just the right time as well.

James White is quietly becoming what we all hoped Vereen would become. We saw flashes of it (especially in the Super Bowl when it counted) but never over a full season as Vereen would always end up getting injured.

The scary part? (for opposing teams). White is playing so well, he's taking touches away from Dion Lewis. Imagine having both in top form come playoff time? Our depth at wide receiver is an issue at the moment but having two backs as good at catching the ball as we do really helps in that regard.

he is the most straight ahead/smooth runner we have.

When he turned on the jets on that long play I was like whoa, dude has nitrous in his shoes.

With Dion, he is still the best of our 3 RBs at being a dual threat run/catch back for short to medium yardage snaps.

White however has shown for now at least (until Dion is back in peak form) that he has the best straight line speed.

His speed is deceiving, he doesn't look fast to me, but no one was catching him from behind.
