I don’t get all the Gilmore hate. Bademosi has played OK, but Keenan Allen gave him a hard time today. SD targeted him a lot. Glad he is getting experience and he helps on tall receivers, but we need Gilmore for his cover skills. Can leave him one on one more than Bademosi - giving us more flexibility.

Agree. Winning close games builds character. The D held up. Again. For all their problems, the held up when they had to. That is a positive thing in my mind.

I agree completely, but it’s also a matter of knowing how not to lose, I.e... not making the mistakes that give the game to the other team, and that’s a constant feature of their tough wins. They will make mistakes but their opponent makes the worst ones. The Patriots are really banged up and struggling but won 5 in a row, against pretty good competition.

This isn’t a dominant season it’s one of dealing with attrition, and they do that better than anyone. Two weeks to get healthier and then we will see who can handle this season. Looking forward to it.

The hate comes from uninformed, uneducated fans who don't understand football, talent levels and want safe play but refuse to aknowledge he has a concussion

The Pats were lucky enough to win another ugly game. Lots of room for improvement on both sides of the ball. By the way, seeing how they handled the Raiders, the Bills are legit.

Pats pretty much were "lucky" the entire 2003 season including the Super Bowl.

These "lucky" games build a lot of character in the team. Yeah, you'd like to see them win 59-0 every game, but it's not going to happen. They need to be able to win even when not executing fully. If the team doesn't have that type of experience, maybe they pull a Denver Broncos and roll over when down 28-3 late in the 3rd quarter.

Redzone offense was/is obviously a legitimate point of discussion, but I thought the score was misleading on this one, Pats were in control the whole way and the defense played a superb performance.

A mistake on one play cost them an 80 yard TD, other than that the defense held the Chargers to six points. Even with the TD, anytime you're keeping the other team to two tds or less that's a good performance.

I think the hate comes from seeing miscommunications in the first 4 weeks leading to awful defense and Gilmore being at the heart of most of those miscommunications but talking **** about other Pats fans sounds fun too

I swear if 90% of the regulars on the GDT lived through the 03 season they'd be on opiates.

Allen had 4 for 60 today. I’d say bademosi held his own. Allen has given probowl corners worse times during his career

Yes. That's uneducated.

They wouldnt post on a forum of a team that only had one SB win. Their behavior is clear fair weather fan, cant take any type of adversity type of posting.

Also a fairly long PI. But still not too bad - but Rivers only attempted 5 passes in the first half. I think he was also getting help.

The defensive turnaround has come along pretty fast. Can they really play any better than they have the last 2 weeks?

Meanwhile offense is sputtering a little, but not overly concerning. We gain an easy 10+ more pts making <45 yard field goals and better RZ execution. Like how we stick to the run game more (improved defense has allowed that lately) but I'd like to see more runs with Develin in there.

ST had maybe it best game of the year minus Ghost and the hold on DA's big return. Slater is really important to this team.

Rivers made a couple great throws under pressure. Not a huge fan of the guy but its kinda sad he's most likely gonna go his whole career without a ring.

Yes, the offense had over 400 yards and held the ball for almost 37 minutes. The D held Rivers to his 2nd worst game of the year and except for the long TD, played well.

If Ghost hit those two FG, I think people would feel better about a 27-13 win than they are about a 21-13 win.

I think they also went with a very cautious game plan given the Charger pass-rush and the injured Cannon. Highest priority was to not get Brady killed. Hence the goal-line jumbo packages we saw midfield. Mostly went long only on play-action to Gronk down the seam (couple of which he dropped).

On the other hand, the last drive by the offense was really good - ate the clock, finally hit the seam route to Gronk and got points. Basically ended the game.

SD did a good job on Cooks.
