I asked about this in some thread last night, but I think it deserves its own space. If it comes out that the Patriots really were tampering with the football after the refs gave them to the ball boy, and that BB knew about this, does Kraft have to fire Belichick because of his stance on everything else moral? Is a year's suspension enough? A hearty handshake? What does Kraft have to do in order to keep himself, and the Patriots shield, 'protected'?

Just the idea of firing BB over this after all he has accomplished is #@$@%ing asinine. Anyone who votes otherwise is a hater or doesn't have a damn clue about how miniscule this is in the grand scheme of it all. End of story.

There is no evidence that the Pats tampered with the footballs after inspection. There are other ways to bring down the PSI, as said in other threads, that are NOT illegal to do.

Kraft firing BB over this would be the biggest mistake he's ever made.

How about a poll if we think Pats are guilty with the evidence as is. 11 underinflated balls, supposedly checked before game and normal. No video or witness evidence of letting air out.

What the Hell, Deus?!

NO!

This is Deus being Deus.
You can love him or hate him, amongst many probably the latter, but he always likes to have some fun by being the iconoclast.

Love you Deus, love you.

Of course Belichick shouldn't be fired, that's ridiculous.

Ok, I'll admit i voted before reading the whole text. If it is found that the balls were definitely altered intentionally after being checked i would say some punishment is merited, but my money is on that they were pushing the envelope with a warm 12.5 ball and the cold wet conditions caused the pressure drop. I think this was done intentionally, but was within the letter of the law.

Kraft should publicly state he will punish Belichick once the league punishes Green Bay an equivalent amount to whatever they punish New England, since Goodell is supposedly all about right and wrong and Rodgers has publicly admitted he uses balls inflated to a pressure outside accepted limits.

I do not expect Green Bay to be punished at all. Just like I do not expect Cleveland to be punished for texting during games or the Jets for tampering. The Pats will probably lose at least one first round pick, and Belichick will probably be suspended a year. But it's all hypocritical bullshite.

I really believe Belichick had no knowledge of this.

I honestly think if the 1st half balls were inflated, it was on the refs for not following proper procedure to test them.

I am a huge Belichick fan & although Kraft is a dam good owner, I am no fan of the man I refer to as "Bum Kisser Bob".

I was sick to my stomach listening to him defend the way Goodell handled the Ray Rice fiasco.

Kraft is not a blue collar type of owner. He is a great businessman who will sell his sole to get Super Bowl in Foxboro.

You missed one option...

On mature reflection the jamie collins pick was exceptional...

This is a game that people watch in their free time for entertainment. Anyone talking about deflating footballs and morality needs to reassess their priorities.

Deus, you dropped a brick on your foot with this silliness.

Really? Deus asked in the case that we are guilty and BB has a significant role in it what should happen? It isn't an unreasonable thread.
Uh. Yeah it is.
