And there's your vet WR that knows the system.
Just what we always assumed - Stallworth, Branch and Gaffney (when eligible and healthy) would all be Shadow Roster players signed if and when needed given injuries.
I don't follow other teams closely enough to know if other coaches plan this out as effectively as Belichick does each year by bringing in the guys to camp that he does
Ideally one never needs it and everyone remains healthy - but as we all know that's very rare.
People love Stallworth, but he's never really been a good WR. He's living off an entirely undeserved deep threat reputation.
Rivera would seem a likely candidate to be released.
...I don't understand the people calling Stallworth washed up but in the same breath pining for Branch or Gaffney (who are both injured anyway). To me there all one in the same, except Stallworth may still have some speed left whereas Branch definitely does not and gets zero seperation.
Branch and Gaffney have both been much better players than Stallworth in recent years. Stallworth has 41 total catches from 2008-today.
Slater saw a handful of snaps in 3WR sets in his absence late in the game.

Just as Gruden's ball washing Doughty the replay shows he didn't make the play, Gruden goes silent, lol.
This would seem to indicate that Edelman's out, or at least highly questionable. It also would seem to mean that either Branch is still bothered by injury or the team thinks he's completely cooked. Mo's post seems to indicate that it's about Branch still not being quite ready.
Best of luck Donte, and get well soon Deion and Julian.
