You have a lack of STO players

True but he does have 10 OL including 4 OT’s. That being said I also have 10, but changed Firkser to Sokol because he’s playing well right now, Tavai has been taking snaps at FB and I think Mac’s overall receiving options are good enough already (still without a WR1 however).

We will know more in about 3 days...

Boutte becoming a quandry.
They don't seem to have room for him on the opening 53. But, it appears someone will snatch him on waivers before stashing him on the PS. Especially if they feature him enough in the preseason games. What to do?

I mostly like this. Golladay was a guy on my radar too. I wonder why he's still available?
I could definitely see Zeke ending up on this team. He's much more valuable than JJ at this point, but maybe they're waiting to see how Harris looks in the first 2 preseason games?

Because he sucks now. Always injured and drops a lot of passes.

play him in the pre-season... If hes good enough, then he will make the team... If not, cut him loose, and hope for the best... but right now hes a bottom of the roster type player... if you really want him, see if he has any aptitude as a kick or punt returner.. but honestly, does it really matter if he's the next "tre nixon" ? trying not to dig in Nxon, but thats the type always showing promise, but never taking the next step...

If Harris doesn't play significant minutes in the 1st preseason game..then my confusion level will be higher then usual.

Some notes:
-RB is light and I definitely feel we need to add another power back. Having Montgomery allows you a bit of time to figure something out.
-I have K. Bourne getting traded to keep Boutte. Two thoughts on this. I'm projecting positively in regards to Boutte's development. If he balls out, you have to find a way to keep him. The other thought is that for some reason, Bourne has been unable to stand out in the new system and he's always one wrong move from being right back into the dog house.
-Had a tough time with Firkser and Sokol.
-Went with 3 guards with Sow being the guy that can step in for a few reps at either G or T. Whether it be jumbo packages, rep load mgmt etc..
-I had a hard time with C. Davis. He just seems like such a waste of a roster spot but brings a size none of the other guys have got.
-4 Safeties seems light to me but I figured there might be something to this whole Mapu thing and in a pinch they might utilize him as a SS in event of injury.
-Odds of Bryant not making the team are very slim. I don't think Bill will actually let him go but I was trying to find a way to keep Speed and Bolden on board for ST's contributions/CB development. I'd like to find a way to give both of those guys another year to develop.
-Some tough cuts. D. Mitchell, S. Roberts, J. Bledsoe and R. Perkins. Perkins only because of what a disappointment he has been.
-I'm assuming C. Anderson isn't going to be ready to play anytime soon.
-Not a bad roster. If the Offense can progress and be rocking and rolling by the end of September, this club is going to surprise some folks. I am concerned about the lack of quality depth on the OL and have my fingers crossed they'll put together a solid top 5 that can stay healthy. There's a lot of youth with potential and a ton of versatility. Guys that can pop into multiple roles depending on formation, opponent need etc..

OFFENSE
1) Cook or whoever is signed
2) 4 WR is more likely than 6; I expect five. If we sign someone, Bourne will likely be out, or someone else on IR. I'd add Mongomery.
3) Sokol seeming more likely than Firkser, but the choice is tough as you said.
4) I have Mafi over Hines
5) The team has Sow as an OT. I'd honor that and cut one of the four OT's that you list.
========================
DEFENSE
7) I think that it close between Ekuale and Davis
8) 11 position CB's is one too many. I'd cut Wade, adding Schooler.
9) It doesn't matter who is labeled CB and who is labeled S. I like this group of 10.
10) I'd cut Perkins or Jennings, and add STer Hellig.

QB (2) M.Jones, B.Zappe
RB (3) R.Stevenson, P.Strong, K.Harris
WR (7) D.Parker, J.SmithSchuster, T.Thornton, M.Slater, K.Boutte, P.Douglas, K.Bourne

i have kept only 3 running backs. i feel they will stash one in PS as they would be able to do so. we would stash Boutte on 53 because the potential is too much to be left risking on waivers. The only odd man out here in this is Ronnie perkins. The last spot could go to him/ steuber / Mitchell or Heilig or a running back..

You have a lack of STO players

In particular, Schooler and the newest STO player, Heilig who has been joined at the hip with Slater.

Cody Davis is still on PUP - perhaps they put him on Reserve PUP, which would make him eligible to return after 4 weeks. As I understand it, he doesn't need to be on the 53 to be put on the Reserve PUP. But he can't practice before cut-down day to be eligible for this.

Did the league finalize increasing the roster to 54?

No, it's still 53. But you can elevate two players from the Practice Squad each week, and you can stash some veterans on the squad, so really it's 55 or 56 players for a while until you use up your elevations (maximum of 3 per player). In other words you put a veteran player on the Practice squad with the understanding that you will be elevating him up to three times before he joins the 53. Hoyer is an example - he was on the PS for a game and then got re-signed. That's useful for any injured players as they need to be on the 53 before you put them on the injured reserve. The player makes less money though, so they aren't happy about it.

Love the Older Slater for what he did for us but it's time for a young guy to kick him off our Roster. Very Impressed with your Roster prediction I would add the extra RB and boot Matthew Slater. Toofy one caveat McDermott should be a PS Tackle if we get to him on the Depth Chart we're in trouble marginal Pass Blocker horrible Run Blocker.

Sokol over Firkster as the better in-line blocker?

Yeah that was one of those positions where I had to weigh a couple of options... Normally I would say yeah because of Henry's & Gesicki's weakness blocking; but it's not like Sokol's a 270 dude himself either; and at 6-5+, he might even be considered lanky... And when I looked at the thinness of the offensive backfield, I decided on Frisker for his ability to line-up back there as a Move FB with the offense possibly being able to run some plays similar to what the 49ers do with Jusczyk... Gonna keep an eye on that competition, among others.

I gotta admit, I thought he would be a non-factor in camp, thus exposing him to waivers on Cut-Down Day would be a no-brainer... Still might be, just won't be the slam-dunk originally ass-umed... Remember, there's gonna be a LOT of players waived at the very same time now...

For the cap, there are more than normal. I think of these players as STO's
SLATER
SPEED

These would not make the 53 without their considerable ST skills
BOARD
BOLDEN

Yep; and I have All 4 of them on my 53!

I mean, c'mon, shouldn't that be enough? Do we really need any of the others clogging-up the depth charts?
