Please anybody with info on Jones and Andrews as well as which O line man we traded for Wade would be greatly appreciated.
Are we working out a sign and trade for Gilmore I wonder?

Gunner is an All Pro punt returner, he’s a lock to make the team.
Not knocking the dude but you do realize the all pro designation was because of 1 game right?

If you remove his Week 13 game (3 returns, 145 yards), he would still average 11.8 yards per return, which is tops in the league. And that's without removing the best game from the other PRs.

He wouldn’t have been all pro with 17 returns for 11 yards per and no TDs.

Not knocking him just distinguishing between a position player being uncuttable because he plays at an all pro level and one good day with 10 other guys doing a great job blocking.

You know, one of the camps most under reported stories has been the rise of Gunner as a WR. Every practice notes him catching balls all over the place (today's drop excepted). He simply is getting open. To me it looks like he is well ahead in his development as a WR than I expected and most surprisingly its not as a slot guy but on the outside.
This. Everyone was busy talking about Harry vs Wilkerson, meanwhile Gunner is just quietly entrenching himself in that #4 slot.

I think the reason we were talking about Harry and Wilkerson is because we assumed Gunner already had a spot, so the last remaining one would come down to someone not named Gunner.

True. My point is more that he has been largely ignored (by the media) in the competition for the #4 WR (not just punt returns) role the entire time.

Oh I absolutely do. I have passive incomes and haven't fretted over my net worth in a long time, so I can do as I please. That includes grammar corrections.
Perhaps volunteering at a charity would be a good idea.

Where did you read it was all with the two's and three's? He was throwing to Myers, Smith, Agholar, Bourne etc... Harris was one of his drops. He was in when Andrews got hurt.

Even more proof I am right that this wasn't a rest day for Mac and it is clear that Cam is still the starter.

Going first doesn’t mean he is the starter. He had a low amount of reps if he is the starter after 5 days away. I’d argue that if he is the starter he should have had the most reps.

when Brady was here he was getting all the reps and the backup almost any. Even when Jimmy was drafted.

even if he is the starter, I don’t think he is in a position to have 15 reps in a practice. He needs all the reps he can get.

I agree it speaks to your point or is supportive of your point. I still think BB's words do matter and the his answer about a starting QB being named this morning I think speaks volumes about where the QB situation is right now. I personally think Mac starts week 1, but regardless of who starts I think we are going to see both QB's on the field during different situations in the game; and I truly believe we will see both of them on the field together at times.

I didn't realize that Harris, Agholor and Smith were "#2s"

So we are in agreement that you were wrong that this wasn't a rest day for Jones? I can see Belichick now:

"Mac, you threw a lot the last three days so we are going to start Cam and give you a rest."

"Oh, so I will have the day off?"

"No. You are going to take reps, but Cam is going to get the first reps."

"So, Cam is going to take a majority of the reps?"

"No. You are going to get far more of the reps."

"Then how is a rest day."

"Well, Cam will be out there for the first couple of series and that will give you an extra 20 minutes to recover from the last few days."

Mac had a lot more reps in part because on Cam's last drive, he drove down the field on like five plays while Mac's first drive was a 20 play drive. At least that is what I heard on the radio. Mac was dinking and dunking more.

Nah Cam is the check down king. He often throws a 5 yards pass and let the wr do all the work to gain 20yards.

Mac was throwing deep today, the receivers just kept dropping passes. 4 drops. One would have been a perfect long TD pass to Gunner.

if Bill wanted to give Cam reps he would have send him back in after a short 5 play drive. I don’t really understand the approach of giving Cam so few reps. It’s not like he was so good last year that he doesn’t need them. Mac has got more reps than Cam all TC and was better than Cam 80% of the time.

Are you the same poster who last week detailed how many ladies wanted to marry you because you were a "great catch"?
No he's the guy who steals Lazar's tweet and post them like their his own. His post in the GDT & Lazar's TL are almost identical. Figures he'd get bent out of shape for misspelling his name.

Again, I will take Zo's word on it. I don't know the exact situation and yardage for each play. Or how many yards were gained on the ground each drive. All I know is that it was five plays for Cam and 20 plays for Mac and from what Zo was saying it was because Jones was throwing shorter passes.

But Mac threw 141 times more than Cam during camp and that 141 passes weren't all from this week. So Jones was getting more reps than Newton all along and not just this week.

And besides, even getting more reps today, Jones had an up and down day. I think because the Giants were dialing up the pressure today, Belichick might have thought it would be a good learning experience for Jones.

I want the Mac Jones era to start as much as anyone else, but Belichick has never really changed from Cam is our starter stance. The media has created a QB competition that doesn't seem to actually exist. At least not for the start of the season.

If just feels odd how little impact Andrews injury has had on the media. I would have thought that when you lose your starting C a week before your first game it would be big news, and yet this Perillo tweet was the first one I saw who mentions it.

Maybe it isn't anything serious. Could have been a heat thing and he was cramping up and they are just being precautious.
